Prompt 1
My favorite part of the league has been getting to know some of the people that weren’t around when I was in the league prior. One specific user that has really helped me get involved is TheCC who has consistently been pressuring me off platform to rejoin the league and get involved again. I didn’t want to let him down and have also really wanted to play running back in the league, so I ultimately recreated. I think that I was drawn to the position of running back because in my previous lifetime, I played offensive line, which is a position that does not get much glamour. Although that was fun and I enjoyed being a silent contributor on the trenches, I thought that it would be fun to play a position that is much more flashy and hopefully get a ton of stats. I think that I will be a good running back and will get a ton of yards.

Prompt 2
I think the experience is fairly intuitive. Part of this is due to the fact that I did previously play a few years ago, so I am kind of picking things back up, rather than learning from scratch. However, there are a few things that I am getting used to, the biggest of which is the fact that there are no longer separate update pages and player pages. This was kind of a change from the past, so it feels weird updating in my player page. Besides that, I think the overall new player creation process is very easy and streamlined. I particularly like the player creator which takes a lot of the guesswork out of things. It was very nice just being able to select whatever archetype and position I want to play and being able to have my player automatically created, rather than having to do math. It would be even easier if the full player update process was automated, but I am happy with the way things are.

Prompt 3
Dear Berlin Fire Salamanders GM, I wrote you but you still ain’t calling. I left my cell, my pager and my home phone at the bottom. Anyways, here is the gist of my letter: I think that you should draft me in one of the future drafts since I plan on being the greatest running back of all time. This offseason, I’ve been working hard at increasing my speed and agility and have been working on getting my speed higher than an F. I’m so committed to being an elite running back that I’ve moved to Germany to work with specialists so that they can replace my achilles with titanium so that I can carry the ball 50+ times a game and still not be injured. If you decide to draft me, I don’t think that you will ever regret it. I am also willing to take pay cuts in order to stay with the team since I am not a diva. I am the greatest team player any organization in the world has ever seen.

Prompt 4
My favorite branding has to be the Minnesota Grey Ducks. I think that the branding for that team in particular is special to me because it is not a mascot that is commonly seen. The closest is probably the Oregon ducks. However, I think that I prefer the grey colorways with the team over Oregon’s colorways. It is a multifacted brand to me, since ducks that are grey are generally young chicks. This is very appropriate due to the fact that Minnesota is a DSFL team and meant to develop players into full ISFL players. Also, I like that the team is situated in not a major market. Although some may argue that Minnesota is a large market, I think that most sane people would agree that it is not. Despite this, midwestern states are usually really passionate about their football teams since there is not much else to follow. For all of these reasons, I choose the Minnesota Grey Ducks.

Prompt 5
What really inspired the name behind my running back, Mr. Ford F150 is the fact that I think the Ford F150 really represents every single aspect of my game. For the past 48 years, the Ford F150 has been the most dependable and best selling truck in the US. I plan on doing the same. My goal is to be the most dependable and in demand running back in the entire league, just like the Ford F150. I think that the Ford F150 also exemplifies a ton of versatility as shown by its multiple configurations, ranging from single to supercrew cab and from the XL trim to the Raptor trim. I think that this comports with my game, as I hope to be an incredibly versatile piece. I plan on building my player so that I can be a threat on receiving downs as well as a threat in the red zone. I also want to be able to add value to my team by being a dependable blocker. Finally, the Ford F150 is not flashy. I don’t want to be a flashy running back. I just want people to look at my stats at the end of the year and be like “wow he had a really good season.”

Prompt 6
I ended up picking the number 1 for similar reasons as to why I chose the name Ford F150 for my player. I hope to be the number 1 most dependable player in the league at my position and also the number 1 option for my team. I also believe that in order to be successful at the running back position, you must have some sort of confidence or swag, and that wearing a single digit number best exemplifies that sort of swag. However, I also want to be able to back up that number, since if I decide to stop earning and become a bad player then I will get clowned for having a single digit number. Finally, the number 1 represents the amount of touches I need to become a problem for the opposing defense. I want people to always be planning for me, and be aware that if I get 1 touch, it will be game over for them.
