Hello and welcome to the fifth annual National Simulation Football League Scouting Combine! Today we have a total of 43 prospects who participated in all combine drills for the upcoming S5 NSFL Draft. The same drills as every year involving the Bench Press, the 40 Yard Dash, Vertical Jump, Broad Jump, 3 Cone Drill, Shuttle Run and the Wonderlic test. This draft class is very deep in some positions, but has great potential throughout all of the prospects. A year in the development league has enabled these athletes to achieve their potential at this years combine. Without much further introduction, let's get into the first positional group.
Isaac Brown Struggling in passing drills despite his impressive 40 yard dash.
With Just two Quarterbacks in this draft, They go head to head in all categories. Both Quarterbacks match the wonderlic scores of previous draft classes with a score of 39 out of 50. Once again, we have a decently intelligent group of Quarterbacks.
Isaac Brown beats out wolverine Justice in the 40 yard dash by well over a second, posting a time of 4.61 seconds.
This is one of the weaker draft classes in terms of upper body strength. With Wolverine getting only 2 reps on the 225 lbs bench press, and Isaac Brown unable to do a single rep at the bench.
Isaac Brown Posts the highest QB vertical this year with a height of 22.9 inches. Mr. Justice falls again, only reaching a height of 19.4 inches.
Isaac Brown destroys Wolverine Justice in the broad jump, reaching a length of 106.6 inches, compared to Justice’s 73.8 inches.
Wolverine Justice Fails to match the athletic prowess of Isaac Brown once again in both the Shuttle and 3-cone drills, slowly reaching times of 5.31 and 8.18 seconds respectively. Isaac Brown coasts to a respectable 4.55 and 7.53 seconds in each of the drills.
With the stats that both player put up in the DSFL and the combine results, Isaac Brown looks like the better prospect, however, many teams see Wolverine as a project player that has unlimited potential.
Sydney Spinelli Showing off during the 40 yard dash.
David Turner turns out the best Wonderlic score for running backs this combine, scoring 20 out 50. Sydney Spinelli and Thomas Mango Struggle mightily, posting scores of 3 and 4 out of 50, respectively.
The quickest Running back this year is Sydney Spinelli, followed closely behind by Connall O’Sullivan with times of 4.39 and 4.41 seconds respectively. David Turner forgets to turn on the burner and finishes with an unimpressive time of 4.55 seconds.
All running backs put up good numbers in the benchpress, with Sydney Spinelli slightly outpacing the rest with 20 reps at the bench. Mango and Turner bring up the rear with 17 reps.
Sydney Spinelli once again is the leading prospect in the Vertical Jump, notching a height of 30.4 inches. David Turner once again brings up the rear with a height of 27.2 inches.
Spinelli and Turner hold their positions in the broad jump, with Spinelli leading with a 124.8 inches broad jump and Turner only reaching a length of 114 inches.
Spinelli outlasts everyone in the shuttle time by posting an impressive, combine leading time of 4.12 second time, and turner holding up the rear again with a time of 4.38.
Spinelli once again outpaces the other running backs in the 3 cone drill, posting a time of 7.05 seconds, where both Connall and David slip up on the final turn and post identical times of 7.20 seconds.
Sydney Spinelli seems to be the consensus best Running back, however, he needs to increase is on the field awareness if he wants to survive in the NSFL. David Turner Definitely has the mind needed to play in the NSFL, however, his body may not be ready.
John Wachter answering questions before his morning drills.
John Wachter leads the NSFL S5 WR Draft Class with his DSFL MVP trophy winning season and his highly touted 22 out of 50 on the Wonderlic Test, barely outlasting Omega, Charles, and Booter who each scored 20 out of 50. Victor Ball brings up the rear with a score of 12 out of 50.
John Wachter holds the fastest time for WR this year at 4.40 seconds. Banyard brings up the rear with a decent 4.63 second 40 yard dash.
Booter and Wachter put up impressive reps and the bench, posting 25 and 27 reps respectively. Buck Charles struggles at the bench with only 4 reps.
Wachter Crushes the competition once again in both the vertical and Broad Jumps, with a height of 31.3 inches and length of 125.5 inches, and Victor Ball brings up the rear again with a height of 23.9 inches and 108.3 inches in length.
John Wachter takes another 1st place in the shuttle with a time of 4.17 seconds. Ball once again sees himself in last place with a 4.51 second shuttle and a 7.57 second 3-cone drill. Buck Charles almost surpasses Wachter in the 3-cone drill, falling a second behind him at 7.11 seconds.
Wachter was by far the most athletic Wide Receiver at the combine and Victor Ball was by far the most unimpressive. Good luck to all of these prospects as they strive to do great at the next level.
Carlito Crush after being asked how he feels about potentially being the #1 pick in the draft.
With Just two Tight End prospects in this Draft, we were unable to get very good comparative stats between the two. The only area in which Brandon Carter beat out Carlito Crush was in the Wonderlic, where he posted an Impressive 25 out of 50 on the exam.
In the 40 yard dash, Carlito looks good enough to run with most Wide Receivers, posting an astounding 4.46 second 40 yard dash. Carter was much slower at 4.92 seconds.
Crush out repped Carter at the bench, going for nearly twice as many reps as Carter’s 16.
Carter’s Jumping ability does not match Crush, as he was only able to post a height of 21.4 inches and a length of 89.8 inches in each competition. Crush easily beat that with a 31.5 inch vert and a 119.6 inch broad jump.
Once again, Crush’s athletic ability showed in the Shuttle and 3-cone drills, outmatching Carter again.
Ryan Sierra impressing during the 40 yard dash. Teams view him as a force on both sides of the ball.
With OL becoming an endangered position on the NSFL level, we are seeing less and less Offensive Linemen in each combine. Jett Winter is the obvious smartest offensive linemen, where he scored 35 on the Wonderlic exam, and Ray Riemann held his own with a score of 25 out of 50.
After the Wonderlic, Ryan Sierra takes the cake on the rest of the drills, with Jett Winter holding up the rear.
Bastion Barnhardt showing off in the weight room. He settles down at 37 reps.
With only 3 defensive Linemen in this draft, there wasn’t much competition for the top prospect, Bastion Barnhardt, however, he struggled on the wonderlic, only getting 16 out of 50 questions correct. Egor Medved came home with the highest Wonderlic score of 21, with John Grossman falling between them with a score of 20.
Bastion Barnhardt put up an impressive 4.50 second 40, while Grossman struggled to get to 5.25 seconds.
Barnhardt put up the highest Bench press of the year at 37 reps, but failed to live up to expectations from previous years. Grossman held up the end with a respectable 28 bench reps.
Barnhardt again wins the Vert and Broad jumps with leaps of 26.7 inches and 112.9 inches. Medved was close behind with 24.3 inches high, and 103.1 inches long.
The Shuttle and 3-one drills were dominated by Barnhardt as well, posting times of 4.63 seconds and 7.70 seconds, followed closely behind by Medved and Grossman.
Luke Kraken hoping that his skills in the brains department outweigh his lack of skills in the brawn departments
Andre Bly Jr. showing up big in all events, including the 3-cone drill where he posted an impressive 6.95 time.
Darren Morris showing off his hands during a drill at the combine. His stock has been dropping recently.
Peg Leg is by far the strongest kicker in this years class, but he has been struggling in the actual kicker drills.
