Ryan Sierra – DT – Orange County Otters
Season 5 – PT #2 – Holiday Cheer
Over this holiday season, Ryan Sierra made his two-hour flight home to Reno, NV to be with his family. The fact Ryan was recently drafted by the Orange County Otters was an amazing gift. He has always loved playing football in front of his friends and family who are mostly from Northern Nevada. His short stint playing professional football has been quite convenient to this point, first being drafted and playing in the DSFL last season in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, and now this season in Orange County, California.
Sierra spent Christmas eve and Christmas day with his father and two brothers, exchanged gifts and treated them to a holiday meal out at Reno’s most renowned gourmet buffet, Sky Terrace in the Atlantis Casino. On Tuesday, Ryan and his family flew back to Los Angeles to help his cousin and her family move into a new long term rental house. They recently suffered from the fires that ravaged the Ventura and Ojai areas. They lost two family homes in consecutive days, but were evacuated in plenty of time to ensure everyone’s safety. Sierra has helped volunteer and raise money for the displaced families in the area and is continuing to employ help from his teammates to rebuild their local neighborhoods.
