Kansas City Coyotes RB Robby Rainey has been approached by Kansas City shipping firm and recent UPS acquisition target Coyote Logistics to work with their new parent company on an internal advertising spot explaining the impact of the acquisition on the $1.8 billion dollar firm’s roughly 1,000 local employees. Coyote saw a natural opportunity to reach out to the team what with their new entrance into the market this year and the obvious similarity in name. Rainey’s role in the promotion is expected to be two-fold. First as an ambassador of the Coyote way of doing business “Quick, agile, and powerfully efficient” and second as a metaphor for how the company is looking at the acquisition process, namely that new entrants and change in a market can make a positive impact on levels ranging from the individual to the city as a whole. When asked for comment on the spot, Rainey told reporters that Coyote leadership has been in touch with the team’s front office in order to secure production team access to the locker-room and practice facility. “They want to get a feel for what it’s like to be a Kansas City Coyote on the ground level and let me showcase what I can do with the ball in my hands“.
