Hopefully the first LB off the board in the draft
EvanR123
How do you feel your play will translate from college to the NSFL?
I think my play will translate really well to the NSFL. I see myself as a good Mike Linebacker that hopefully can be the brain of the Defense. Sniff out some plays and destroy the opposing offense by setting up my guys for success
In what round do you expect yourself to be drafted in?
This might sound a bit cocky but I think I will be a first round pick or an early 2nd rounder. In my opinion you always have to have the utmost confidence in yourself if you want to play in the NSFL and achieve greatness on and off the field. This is a mans league and you will be eaten alive if you don't have what it takes.
What player in this draft at your position do you believe will give you the most competition?
There are actually I a few I compare myself to and I think all of them have what it takes to be a great MLB like me, at least from what I saw. I know you media guys always want to hear some names so I will actually name them in no particular order: Jaylon Lee,Sinjin Flimjollywop,Ian Bavitz,Kurt Hendrix,Lindarius Shelton. They are all more balanced Linebackers like me and I can't wait to face these guys and god forbid if one of them and I end up on the same team that would be a nightmare for the opposing offenses.
What NFL player would you equate your play style most to?
I actually think Luke Kuechly makes the most sense maybe not as gifted in pass defense as him but in my eyes he is one of the very few linebackers that can do it all. Ray Lewis and Mike Singletary were these QB's of the defense that I aspire to be and a tremendous leader in their teams locker rooms as well as face of their respective franchises. I am a very loyal guy and hope to play all my career for one team and get some championship rings with that team.
Any team that you would prefer to be drafted by?
I honestly have no preference except that I want to be drafted by a team that reaches out to me and talks about the future and what kind of franchise they want to be including how I fit into that future. The GM's will know which teams I mean with that. Reaching out to a prospect always goes a long way in my opinion. If you don't talk to me prior to the draft then don't draft me.
Ltsmashie
Which of your fellow draft class are you most looking forward to playing against?
Shane Weston I can't wait for the day that he catches a pass in the slot so I can blow him up and force a fumble from that weak ass guy. These diva wideouts need someone who will bring them back to reality
Is there anybody who you would rather not be on the same team as?
I am the kind of guy that is easy going and usually has a decent relationship with everyone and if it happens that someone can't stand me and I notice that I will just avoid them to avoid any conflict in the locker room. You don't have to like each other but you can still be good teammates and be brothers on the field. Especially if you play on the same side of the ball.
What is your biggest mental attribute?
My work-ethic. If you combine a great work-ethic with some god given talents you will achieve greatness and this is what I am aiming for, Greatness. Even if you don't have that much talent but a stellar work-ethic you can grind your way up and achieve more than someone who is very talented but lazier than a sloth.
Strong and dumb or weak and intelligent?
Weak and Intelligent is the better choice in my opinion for someone that aspires to be a good Mike Linebacker. If you sniff out the offensive plays you can put yourself already in the best position to make the play obviously it depends on how weak you are. Even if you are in the right place at the right time but you are so weak that you can't stop the Runner you will have some major problems but then again you can put your teammate into the best position to do that. Even a weak Linebacker should have enough strength to sack the QB or pick him off.
Would you rather live without steak or without beer?
I would definitely rather live without beer since I am not a big fan of beer anyways but a really well made steak is something I always look forward to.

What will Selich use to strike fear in the defense?
I have several tools in my repertoire. My football IQ which is off the charts even compared to Qb's gives me the ability the sniff out some playcalls which allows me to make plays. Another tool would be my hit power. Boy the Running backs and Wideouts that played against me can tell you how much of a beating their body took when I came flying into them.
You have been rumored all over the first round, any personal favorites?
As stated before there are no real personal favorites. Just the teams that already reached out to me. I don't even have a real preference on the defensive scheme that I will play in since I will do great in everyone of them.
What about your game seems to make everyone around you better?
Football IQ. I can act as a defensive coordinator on the field and put my teammates into the position to success. Also I think a big part of my game is leading by example. There are some players that can motivate their teammates with some nice words but I am not about that. You see me play and think: damn, he gives it all on every down, I have to do the same.
What do you enjoy more sacking the QB for a loss, or playing great pass defense and intercepting a pass?
Intercepting the pass. This might raise some eyebrows but there is a simple explanation for that. Linebackers usually don't get many interceptions in the first place but the best thing about an interception is that you either score or your own team is in possession of the ball now and you stopped the opposing offense
What do you hope to improve on as a rookie?
My agility and speed. This way I will habe a bigger impact in every defensive formation we are in and can defend better from sideline to sideline. I honestly will work on every aspect of my game but these 2 are the ones I want to focus the most in my rookie season.

1.You had a good performance in the All-American Bowl. Can you transfer that performance to a real game instead of an exhibition, where all the players might not be trying their hardest (like the NFL's Pro-Bowl)?
In my opinion the All-American Bowl could be more compared to the Senior Bowl in which the players actually try hard at least I like to think that because their draft stock is on the line which means they could lose out on some big money if they don't perform well. I hope that my performance in the All-American Bowl helped my draft stock and in my opinion games like that one will my average performance in the NSFL.
2. Favorite part of being an ILB?
Trying to figure out what play the offense will run and react accordingly. Also being involved almost every down unless there is a throw to the sidelines or way down deep.
3. Growing up in Germany, what prompted your choice in pursuing a career in football?
Just my passion for the game. I remember it as yesterday when I was a little boy and my big brother showed me a highlight tape of Randy Moss in the NFL. The stuff I saw just amazed me and I wanted to play a more physical game anyways. The more older I got the more I realized what kind of a pussy sport soccer became. I just love some physicality when playing a sport. Also getting an athletic scholarship meant that I got my degree for free which is always something nice.
4. If asked to do it, how do you think you'd fare in man-to-man pass coverage on the RBs and Tight-ends in this draft class?
I am being honest I might struggle a little bit at first but once I got some more experience under my belt this should become way easier. I prefer to just sit in the zone rather than having to cover man-to-man if I face pass coverage.
5. What is your favorite non-sports related movie?
I actually can be a softie at times so About Time would be my choice.
Anti-Hype
Just a few questions Alexander, Thanks for your time!
What are your thoughts on America? Have you enjoyed your time here?
I really enjoyed it here so far. Obviously there was a bit of a culture shock but that was gone fairly quick actually. Adjusting to the weather in Flordia was a bit bigger struggle actually back home in Germany it isn't that humid and hot but then again the winter in Florida is obviously very nice. Looking out for Tornado warnings was also quite the interesting experience but that's just life.
How popular is american football in Germany?
The popularity of american football actually increased a lot recently. Each week some regular season games are televised and there is always a summary of the weeks games. College football on the other hand isn't popular at all which is sad. There are also a lot more amateur teams compared to like 10 years ago and even some youth teams so to say which was very rare back in my days.
What are you hoping for more? League MVP or a League Championship?
Being in the Hall of Fame is the ultimate goal , so I guess I have to go with League MVP but then again most HOFers have at least one ring
Jogn
Alex, thanks for taking the time
Did you have any trouble getting footage to colleges coming out of high school? I can't assume FAU has a scout in Germany.
One of my friends actually made a small highlight mixtape that was uploaded on Youtube. That got a few clicks and just got a bit popular which earned me the opportunity to have some personal workouts
What brought you to FAU in particular? Did you recieve any other offers?
Just having some friends in the area that I knew back then in Germany already. One actually had a women's tennis scholarship at FAU. I got a few others offers but I don't really want to mention them but it was a bunch of smaller football schools obviously. There was no big program interested in me and I can understand that 100%.
You seem to have really put in the work in the weight room - what drove that?
Man, I just like working out and as a Linebacker you obviously need to have some great strength and overall good fitness. Being in the weight room is always a highlight for me you can just clear your head and feel the muscles working inside your body.
Is 52 a particularly significant number to you?
It's just Ray Lewis number. I always look up to him. He was a tremendous leader on and off the field and face some big challenges in his life. He still overcame them all and built a great legacy in my eyes.
Which side of the "Owlcatraz" argument - where a private prison group purchased FAU's field name - were you on?
I personally liked the name and was a bit bummed when they changed it back. It just had a nice ring to it.

1) Will Tomen be reigning supreme and take every job available in this league as well?
Nah I think this is prolly the maximum of jobs that I will take in this league. Being Updater and Banker are some nice jobs that will pay me at least 6m each season which is nice. I just don't have the time with University taking a bit more time from me this semester and the upcoming ones.
2) How do you find the time to play all these sim leagues and still get some sunshine?
Who said that I get any sunshine  It's about multitasking and being efficient, that german efficiency Also I do a lot of stuff on my phone like writing this or Pt's/ doing my own Updates and that can be done at almost every time which simplifies things.
3) This being the very first draft, do you expect to see any major steals coming from the later rounds. if so, who are you keeping an eye on?
Don't wanna leak some info that I will share with the GM that drafts me But I think that this draft will have the most steals actually. There are just so many people that I never heard of which will have a big impact and if you think about it this is a reddit draft so to say and there are always a lot of steals in these kind of drafts You yourself should know that the best
4) Why did you choose the position you chose? Do you think you'll be able to be successful at it?
My favorite player of all time is Randy Moss so creating a WR was the first thing I thought about but then I looked at the Position Tracker and saw that at the time there was only one other Linebacker which was InciteHysteria's player. I always enjoyed watching the guys like Ray Lewis/Luke Kuechly do their job in the middle of the defense. QB was also something that I considered but being the QB of the defense sounded nice or being involved in a lot of plays in a game. That is why I ultimately chose Linebacker.
I hope that I will be successful I plan this league to be my #2 priority sim league or rather 1B and 1A would be SHL. I won't go full balls to the wall as in the SHL and I won't buy the sim but I will bug our simmer a lot regarding attributes etc. I prolly will even look around the boards to get any info on what attributes seem to work the best for a MLB etc. I am the kind of guy that wants to do really great when I commit to something and so far I committed to the NSFL. My goal is the Hall of Fame.
Grapehead
Will you be buying a home once you're drafted?
Yeah I think I will buy one since I plan to stay with one time at least for the majority of my career or even for the entirety of my career. If that doesn't pan out I can hopefully sell it and even raise the value because I lived in that house and by that time my name is already pretty popular and held in high regards.
Do you have a pet?
Nah I don't have a pet which is bit sad. I am just allergic to a lot of different animals so the only animals I could have as pets would be like little pigs, fishes or hamsters which isn't so graet for a pet in my eyes but who knows maybe that will change with time.
Do you wear sweatpants a lot?
The only time that I wear sweatpants is at home so you can usually see me wearing them or shorts but outside of my own home I never go out with sweatpants it's just not how I was raised you should always looks presentable outside of your home you never know what can happen or who you might meet.
Why did you want to enter the NSFL draft?
I just wanted to prove that I can be the best even if some people might not think that because i am from Germany and see me as a longshot but I like to prove people wrong and make them regret betting against me. That is just my personality and I always had football as a big passion of mine.
Are you going to be a legend?
Right now I plan to. The goal is the Hall of Fame but you never know an injury might cut my career short or throw me off my game entirely so that I won't be able to get to that legend status.
youngcricket
Why're you better than be?
My work ethic. I will just outwork you each and everyday. Nothing beats a supreme work ethic in my eyes and I always think that I have the best. At the very worst we both will be great Linebackers trying to compete for that All-Pro/DPOTY accomplishment.
What kind of playing LB do you want to be?
Just a great MLB that can do it all and can be the QB of his defense. Being able to stuff the run, rush the passer and being able to get some picks here and there. A well balanced combination of everything and the heart&brain of the defense.
Do you have any other unique talents?
I can crack every joint in my body.
What dish can you cook best?
That would be Tiramisu it's just my favorite desert. The difference to the most common version of Tiramisu is that I don't put any alcohol into mine.
Which NFL legend do you respect the most?
Warren Moon he just faced a lot of obstacles in his journey to the Hall of Fame and was able to overcome them all and prove every doubter of him wrong. Hell the man even had to go to the CFL to prove that he could be a great QB.

1. With middle linebacker being such a stat-stuffing position, how long do you think it will take you to become NSFL Defensive Player of the Year?
I hope that I will get the honor fairly quick but then again I don't have to win it at all. Getting it would make it easier to get enshrined into the Hall of Fame but I don't care much about any other validation except the ultimate validation that is the Hall of Fame.
2. How do you think your talents will be best used? Downhill enforcer in a 3-4, or maybe more of a versatile speed-backer in a cover 2?
I think it will be more the standard cover 2 Mike Linebacker. I think that is how I would be able to show my full potential. But then again I fairly versatile which should allow me to play in any Linebacker position that I will be placed in by my coaches.
3. Do you have anything to say to the GMs out there looking to draft a leader of their defense early?
Just that they should reach out to me and see themselves and evaluate if they think I will be fit for the role of leading their defense. If they don't want to do that just look at my performance in the All-American Bowl.
4. What do you think of new FAU coach, Lane Kiffin?
I personally think the he is one of the best offensive coaches in football but I don't really think that he will be a good Head Coach. He is more fit for the role of an Offensive Coordinator.
5. Coming from the temperate climate of Germany, how was it living in the humidity for the past few years?
Man, it was a struggle especially for me since I am the kind of the guy that always feels warm and starts to sweat at like 70 degrees Fahrenheit. I can handle the cold well but man I tell you the summer especially the summer in Florida was a huge struggle for me. I never sweat that much in my life even when resting at home and not doing anything. But after the first 2 years I managed to deal with it very well.
SimmerDownBruhh
Is there a fine line between love and hate?
It depends on the kind of love. The really can be a fine line between love and hate. You can love your team and at the same time hate it because it drives you nuts. Emotions are a great thing
Do you follow any winter sports?
Yeah am I a hockey fan and really like the Buffalo Stampede from the SHL especially that Eduard Selich guy who is a distant relative of mine
Fan of Basketball? If so, who's winning Game 1 of the Finals on Thursday?
I never really watched Basketball to be honest but growing up in Germany you definitely see some Dirk Nowitzki ads. Since I came to the States I definitely got a bit more familiar with and i think the Warriors will take game 1 but ultimately LeBron will win it.
Big Hit, Strip Ball, or Secure Tackle?
Every tackle of mine ends up in a big hit that can end up with a fumble But yeah always go for the safe tackle and if you think you can still make a safe tackle while trying to force a fumble somehow go for it. A Turnover is the goal of the defense.
@Raven
Would you rather be on a quiet team that wins or in an busy team that loses?
A busy team that loses. Because if a teams is busy it means that there is high activity which further means that their players should improve a lot. If we are an active team for like 10 seasons and just never made the finals I will just have to tell the owner that we need a new coach.
Coming from Germany, you must have lived in a country that's has alot of soccer influence, what made you end up playing american football?
Soccer is just too soft for me. It's all about drama there. Diving if you can and actually act more than a god damn actor in a movie. I just love the physicality of football and just all the strategy that comes along with it.
Are you related to Eduard Selich, the legendary goat future HoF SHL player?
Yeah Eduard is a distant relative of mine we saw each other at some family gatherings since my father is his cousin actually but since he went to Prince George first and then Buffalo we never saw each other except on a wedding of a cousin of mine. I hope that Eduard can be a HoF over there in the SHL because it would be great to have 2 HoFer in 2 different leagues that share a family name and are actually related to each other. Oh by the way don't sleep on my cousin Daniel over there in Arizona playing for the Wildcats hoping to enter the S26 SBA draft
How would you feel if Selich and Turkleton ended up getting drafted to the same team?
It would be always nice to play with Turkleton I heard that he is a great kicker and his agency and mine like each other and cooperate a lot. So yeah having another face from Europe in the Locker room would be a blast and someone saying lad to you is always nice.
What size was the biggest bratwurst you have eaten in one bite?
20 cm I just stuffed the whole thing in my mouth bending it a bit. That's fairly easy to do and could be done by everybody with a big enough mouth. Maybe I should make Turkleton do that if we are drafted to the same team.
Saliva^
How many Selich'es you have left? there are some sim league you haven't been yet
There are a ton of Selich's left. We are a very big family so yeah . Ehm I didn't create a player in the VHL just never liked it. I also heard of another football sim league which I never knew how to create a player for and with the NSFL my desire to have a football sim is fulfilled. Other than that I only have been in the PHL(Gm Hockey Sim League) which I never got into (sorry, Incite). GOMHL(Hockey Sim league) which I wanted to use to test my SHL build but since I earned TPE too fast in the SHL I couldn't really test my build in the GOMHL and ended up buying the sim(STHS) myself. There is the SBA which was my biggest doubt honestly since I never was interested in Basketball but it has been a pleasant surprise so I hope to enter the draft soon because I want Arizona to have 4 MVP's in a row. Last but not least my #1 priority sim league the SHL. Halfway to regression and I believe I am on pace to break the TPE earned record and I am a GM there (for a SHL franchise and team Germany).
I know Germany has a decent rugby team. Why you chose football instead?
Rugby just never was my thing. I never really had a lot of interest in it and never even bothered to get into it same with cricket I just view as one of these weird British sports.
There's one Europen (I assume) named Marmeladov who's from UCF. Rivalry otw?
Never heard of the guy and a quick google search didn't lead to any results so I have to disappoint you. I know that there are some german football player like Eric Nzeocha,Moritz Böhringer, Sebastian Vollmer,Björn Werner,Kasim Edebali,Mark Nzeocha
Does NSFL stand a chance to better than NCAA at some time?
I think you are a SBA guy so yeah. I would say NSFL is currently my #2 priority regarding sim league just because I am more interested in football than in basketball but that doesn't mean that my player will go inactive or be bad in the SBA. I think I can handle both.
Do you watch football/soccer? If so, your favorite Budensliga team?
I actually don't watch soccer anymore not even the european championship maybe that would change once the world cup comes around but living in Germany you actually can't escape soccer here so yeah you know stuff. My favorite Bundesliga team is actually Bayern the 2nd favorite would be Eintracht Frankfurt since it is close to my hometown. I am always more a fan of the league/sport/players than teams. My favorite soccer team would be Real Madrid
TheLoopster
Yeah, hi, hey there, Jim Amburger, West Palucho Repeater. I've got a killer headache, so let's get on with it.
1. Do you keep in touch with any of your old teammates or friends in Germany? How do they feel about your opportunity here?
Yeah thanks to the world of social media and smartphones keeping in touch with my friends in Germany is fairly easy. Each summer I aim to go back to Germany for 2-3 weeks to meet my family and friends. Obviously if you move across the pond you can't keep in touch with everybody and you lose some friends but that is just life and you learn to really appreciate the friends that are left.
2. Do you think you might play well on the offensive side of the ball if asked? At what position?
I wouldn't say that I would be good on the offensive side of the ball but I could probably be a decent power back that would be used to get goal line carries since I think with my strength I could power my way through people. I think I wouldn't be a good fit at full back because I can't block that well.
3. What does your ideal defense look like?
4-3 base with me as the mike Linebacker in the middle. I just think this fits my overall skill set the best since I can stuff the run, rush the passer and play pass defense if needed. It's also easier to give instructions to my teammates from that position since I am in the middle of the field if I think I know which play the opposing offense will run.
4. What specifically appealed to you about the Middle Linebacker position over the Outside Linebacker position?
The versatility your task is to be able to do everything. As an Outside Linebacker you rarely get to do all 3 thinks mostly your job is either stuffing run/pass rush or you have to drop down in coverage most of the time. I just love the flexibility of being a Middle Linebacker that needs to figure out the QB and react accordingly to what looks he gets from the offense.
5. What has your training regime leading up to the draft looked like?
It wasn't something special just trying to stay in the best shape possible and some refinement of my skills as well as the usual workouts to gain a little bit more strength/speed/agility. Once the teams are completed I will have to spend a lot of time watching film of the opposing QB's and RB's that I will face so I am more prepared once I finally face them at the start of the season.
Valtookan
Hey Alexander, I know you are hella busy so I really wanted to first thank you for taking time to answer these questions.
As one of the most popular Linebacker in the draft, is there any unknown LB you want to give a shout out to?
Harrif Ernston that Coverage Linebacker from the Bahamas seems to be a darkhorse in my mind. Like these coverage guys don't get that much love as the other guys.
Do you play any position before Linebacker, how did you decide on this position?
When I was smaller size wise I was a DB back in Germany playing strong safety with a very hit heavy style kinda morphed me already into a Linebacker in the end.
Tell us your favorite thing to do while on the field? For example, what part of a play do you like? Pre-Snap? Pursuit? Blitzing? Etc.
Definitely Pre-Snap. By far my most favorite thing to do. Just trying to read the QB's or opposing coach mind and looking at everyone seeing if they give me some tells regarding what play call they will run.
Do German's make the best Middle Linebackers?
I wouldn't say that but I think I can a really great one a future Hall of Famer maybe
What is your favorite color and does that affect the team you prefer to end up on?
My favorite color is actually turquoise so that would fit the color scheme of the Yellowknife Wraiths so you never really know
How do you feel your play will translate from college to the NSFL?
I think my play will translate really well to the NSFL. I see myself as a good Mike Linebacker that hopefully can be the brain of the Defense. Sniff out some plays and destroy the opposing offense by setting up my guys for success

@Raven
