Hello diary! I'm very excited to be writing in you again. It hasn't been super long since the last time but probably a little too long. Last time I wrote in you I talked about my kid and my wife. And I talked about my first game as a Wraith. Before I pick up from where I last left off I may as well fill you in more of my personal and family life. So as you all are well aware I live in Yellowknife, but I only live there during the football season. I also have two other houses. I have a big mansion in Cincinnati Ohio. To be more specific it's in Mason about thirty or so minutes north of downtown Cincinnati. I actually let my father and my sister and some cousins live in that house full time. They're not poor or anything like that but these are the people that helped me make my millions. So I figured I'd give back. It's really the least I could do. So when me and my wife and now Glenn McPoyal jr aren't there in Cincinnati we're at our third house. This house only we live in. I would say it's our main house too. A much smaller than the other two as well. It's located in Albuquerque New Mexico. It's a house just a stone's throw away from the Sandia mountain. We always love hiking up there. Now since we have Glenn McPoyal jr we take the trolley up. There's an old restaurant up at the top but it's been in “remodeling” phase for a few years now. There's a little wooden house probably a mile or two up a trail that we always hike too. Helps me stay in shape for the season. But I love new Mexico it's an absolutely beautiful place to be. I love waking up in the morning and walking outside to the view of the beautiful mountains. Now I know what you're thinking, a football star who doesn't have a place in Florida of California. But me and my wife decided that we really don't like that scene and we decided to be off into our own path. Now I said that we don't have anyone else living there, well that is necessarily true. Sometimes my cousin Gregory Fletcher and his wife comes out and visits us for a few weeks or months. Me and Gregory get a lot of good workouts in when he visits. Makes us both better football players. My dad and his girlfriend also come and visit when me and my wife Jasmine McPoyal go up to Yellowknife. Well I'm sure you've all probably heard enough about personal life. It can be boring but if you're reading this you probably have absolutely no idea who I actually am. Unfortunately now I have to get to bed. Damn Glenn McPoyal junior is crying so I probably have to change his diaper. I love that kid but man does his shit stink. I apologise I didn't get to the football stuff. Flip to the next page and hopefully it will be there.
Hello diary!! I'm back again! Just to fill you in, my son Glenn McPoyal junior did in fact shit his pants!. It was pretty messy.. just thought I should let you all in on that. It's only been a night since my last journal entry so I'm not super far behind on my writing. Before I start on the whole play by play thing again I'm going to tell you something cool the guys in the league decided to do. We all are getting together a few weeks this off-season and are having a little college division game series. It's split up into six different conferences. We have the big ten, the big twelve, pac twelve, the ACC, the SEC and the independent (the people who didn't go to huge colleges or part of big conferences). I went to the University of Cincinnati and was in the AAC. Since that isn't one of the big conferences I am in the independent conference. Now I know what you're thinking, isn't this awfully risky to play football in the off-season? I mean people could get hurt. And well I'd like to inform you that this is strictly non contact flag football. We usually do it in private sessions that isn't open to the public but it's a lot of fun. We've played three games so far, we play thirteen games and they're one game a day and sometimes two or three games in one day so it'll only last a few weeks. But I'm happy to say that haven't lost a game yet. The little guys in the independent conference are the last undefeated teams left. Although we have played the big ten conference yet. But I'm pretty confident we can beat them. We have one hell of a high powered offense. And our defense is pretty damn stout too. But that's just about all there is to that. I won't get Into too much detail about that… I fell asleep last night writing this and now it's about six in the morning and me and my wife are going to hike the Sandia mountains so I'll have to get back with you here in a few nights.
Aye diary! I am back once again! Although this time it has been a full week since I have last written in you. It's very sad I know that. But like I always say it'll only take you about two seconds to flip the page and you'd never know I was gone for an entire week. Our hike in Sandia mountains was pretty beautiful. A very peaceful hike. We hiked all the way up to that small wooden house I mentioned in the last entry. The rest of the week I have been super busy. My cousin Gregory Fletcher and his wife are here staying with us so we're training all the time and hanging out with our newborns. I kind of like taking a break from my football life and jotting down some thoughts of my personal life. It feels good and refreshing to get away from it for a few weeks. Me and Gregory are both super competitive so it really helps when he visits. He makes me a better football player for sure. Since I'm bigger than him being a tight end and all I'm naturally a little slower. This way when I face the slow linebackers in the league I'm much more prepared do just absolutely dominate them. So thank you Gregory for that. Okay so now I will pick up from where I left off at least three or four pages ago. It's the second week of the the regular season and we are playing the yeti. I last left off at the end of the first quarter so I will get back into this starting in the second quarter. Okay here we go! If you don't recall, the Yellowknife Wraiths were up seven to three going into the second quarter of the game. Early in second the Colorado Yeti still have the ball. Their quarterback, Nick Pinero rushes for a long twenty two yards. Getting them into field goal range. The next two plays they rush for a whopping zero yards. The third play Pinero gets SACKED by Yellowknife Wraiths own Clee Hardrool. They have to settle for a forty four yard field goal. Making the game now seven to six. A little too close for comfort. Now I have some friends and old teammates on the Colorado yetis so I won't trash them too much in this.. I actually think their on the up and they'll be very good very soon. Sorry I got sidetracked.. now back to the game! Now the Wraiths have the ball, and I'm hoping we go a lot longer than a three and out. We get two first downs, I'm not involved in either of them unfortunately, and on first and ten Mat Akselsen throws an interception. The yeti get the pleasure of starting deep in our territory so we know that they will most likely get at least just a field goal. They don't have much luck on offense and eventually have to settle for a eighteen yard field goal. Now making the score seven to nine yeti up. This was sucking and our offense was lacking as it has been most of the season thus far. So we got the ball back down by two. And wouldn't you know it we went three and out. Luckily for us the yeti went straight for another three and out as well. So now the ball is back into our court. On second down Mat Akselsen throws a bomb to Bailey cook for forty four yards. A few plays later we're finally I'm the end zone! Extra point is good and now we're up fourteen to nine! It finally felt like we were getting some momentum back. There was just about a minute left in the first half at this point so the yeti really didn't have much time. The clock would expire on the yeti before they had a chance to do anything with the ball. Now starts the second half!! The Yellowknife Wraiths kick off to the Yeti to begin the half. They would go three and out on their very first possession of the second half. And now it's our turn! I'm going to give you one guess as to what happens… yup! You've guessed it. Another three and out! At this point it gets frustrating. But something we have to build on over time. We punt it back to the yeti. The score is still fourteen to nine the Yellowknife Wraiths up. The yeti actually get something going. They drive all the way down the field. They would eventually stall however and settle for a field goal attempt. In typical season six yeti fashion they missed their forty seven yard field goal attempt. Thankfully for us they didn't get it! It gets turned over on downs and know Yellowknife has the ball again. It's third and seven on our own forty six yard line. Mat Akselsen throws it up to me and I come down with the ball for a sixteen yard catch. Finally! I get the ball thrown in my direction. The next third down was third and eight. Mat comes back my direction but unfortunately I am a yard short. So it's fourth and one and we have to settle for a field goal. Our kicker None Forfeit is a stud and never misses so of course he made the forty six yard field goal. Making it now seventeen to nine. It felt like we were finally starting to pull away from the yeti. The yeti would go three and out again their next series. When we got the ball back we were still hot. I got one catch that drive for four yards. Not much but some help. Two plays later our running back Kennedy would rush for a touchdown! Unfortunately the snap was messed up and None Forfeit didn't even get a chance to hit it correctly. So we didn't get that extra point. Making the score twenty three to nine. I'll save you from going over the entire fourth quarter. It's boring and absolutely nothing happens and no one score. So I'll just brush over that. My sats for the game was six catches for forty eight yards, an average of eight yards per catch and also a long of sixteen. Not my best game but still it wasn't too hateful. That wraps up that game and I am getting ready to go back to bed. It was very nice writing in my diary again. Hopefully whoever reads this gets at least just a little enjoyment from my personal life and also a little taste of my football life as well. Good night to whomever is reading this!
Hello there again diary!! I'm just waking up in the morning so unfortunately this is going to have to be somewhat of a quicker journal entry. But still very entertaining and awesome. Okay so I guess we should pick up from where we last left off. The Yellowknife Wraiths are now one and one on the season. It isn't the worst but we knew we had to get better if we had any chance of getting into the playoffs. Our third game of the season was against the Baltimore Hawks. Probably our biggest rivals. But it didn't matter because like I said we had confidence going into this game and we knew what we had to do. Our defense is stout so of course after kick off they go three and out. I would also like to mention that this is in fact in Yellowknife and not Baltimore. So a home game for us! Anyways, it's our turn with the ball now. First play is a five yard rush play. The very next play is a thirty one yard dime that Mat Akselsen throws to Gosh Jarden. The very next play Mat Akselsen sets his sits on me. I run a quick slant route from the slot and he throws it to me. I catch it and hold onto it for a nine yard gain. After that were on their nine yard line. Three plays later Mat Akselsen sets his sights on Bailey cook and gets him in the end zone for six! None Forfeit makes the kick and we are now up seven to zero with ten minutes left in the first quarter. Not a bad start if you ask me. Now it's Hawks turn. They have a couple passes for seven and eight yards then out of nowhere blocksdale, their quarterback, drops back and passes for twenty one yards to the one and only drew Watchner. Their on there own twenty three yard line and luckily for us they stall and have to settle for a field goal attempt. Their forty yard field goal is… NO GOOD! Turk turkleton missed his field goal. He's probably the best kicker in the league so everyone on the Yellowknife Wraiths side line was cheering like crazy. We would go on to get the ball on downs. It's now our turn.. we have the ball on first down. We pick up seven. The very next play, our quarterback gets sacked. Minus seven yards that time. The next play goes for nine but unfortunately we needed ten. So we went three and out for the first time that game. I was just hoping it wasn't going to be our motto for the rest of that game. So with just about four and a half minutes left in the game we kick it away. Luckily their next series was also a three and out. It's now our ball and third and six, Mat Akselsen is looking at Bailey Cook's direction.. he throws it and my damn cousin Gregory Fletcher intercepts it. But it would be all for not because the hawks would go three and out and punt the ball back. That's the end of the first quarter and the game is still seven to zero wraiths. Well that's all the time I have now so I best be getting ready for the day!
