The premise is:
Above average offensive YPP, below average defensive YPP = good
Above average offensive YPP, above average defensive YPP = fun
Below average offensive YPP, below average defensive YPP = boring
Below average offensive YPP, above average defensive YPP = bad
Obviously this isn't strictly true but I think it does an okay job. Some tiers of teams emerge:
Good teams: Orange County, Yellowknife, and Philadelphia. I'd be surprised if anyone expected one of the other five teams to win the Ultimus this season.
Okay teams: San Jose, Arizona. These two teams do what they do in totally opposite ways, with San Jose's defense keeping them in the playoff race and Arizona's offense doing the same.
Below Average teams: New Orleans, Baltimore. Don't think Baltimore deserves to be here, I'd bump them up a tier personally. These numbers are not quality of competition adjusted so it's possible that's what's holding Baltimore back, will be interesting to revisit this after the season when everyone's played an equal schedule.
Colorado. Yeah. Thanks for screwing up my axes, Colorado (angry face emoji)
