What training does Bucky Barnes do to get into football shape? The same as everyone else, except he does it harder, better, and faster. Every morning in the offseason Barnes wakes up at 6 am on the dot, he's been doing this since high school so he doesn't even feel it anymore, eats a solid breakfast of eggs (not just the whites, that's a waste), toast, orange juice, and some Fruity Pebbles mixed with Cocoa Pebbles, then heads down to the gym. He gets in a solid 2-3 hour workout where he focuses mostly on strength, particularly in his legs, showers, heads home and then hits the field with his longtime friend and personal trainer that he has affectionately nicknamed "Captain". On the field is where he gets in that conditioning that everyone hates and works on actual football skills like catching, moving the blocking sled, and everyone's favorite plyometrics. Afterward, he'll grab some dinner and usually fall asleep while studying the playbook and game tape of opposing offenses before waking up to do it all again. It's nothing groundbreaking in the slightest, but the consistency to do it every day is what separates the players in the NSFL from the ones wishing they could even smell the inside of the locker rooms.
