*Continued Corona Chronicles - NamelessNate - 03-13-2020

The story of Covid-36 and the DSFL continues. Due to sheer luck only one player in the entire DSFL had contracted the virus which gave HO the easy decision to continue the season only without fans. We have been following the effected player for quite some time now and we have an update for you two weeks removed from the start of the DSFL season. If you recall, Tom first caught Covid-36 after the DSFL pre-season games when a tourist family from the great state of Minnesota (lol) were seen shopping in a grocery store and later tested positive. Sofa, a regular patron of the super market was one of the first victims announced which allowed him to self quarantine quickly and allowed test results to come back. Unfortunately for him, they returned positive, because of this however, Week 1 was postponed as the rest of the league had to also undergo tests. Fortunately for the league as a whole only Sofa had been infected and the rest of the league could resume as normal as possible, still omitting fans from the stands. However it did require swift action from HO to allow Sofa to sit while he recovered, as it was rumored that he may had been forced to play while in the peak stages of the illness.

Two weeks later and Tom still hasn't improved very much, in fact his whole house had to be sealed off as to prevent anyone else from catching the lethal disease (pictured above). This did not stop his teammates from celebrating with him however as players such as Octavio Clemente (@Billybolo53) and Heath Evans (@`Feeler`) came after a week 2 victory against the Portland Pythons. These players were of course wearing only the best hazmat gear available that was decontaminated both going in and leaving Sofa's abode. It was later said that when they came out they had nothing but positive things to say about their teammate and were wishing him well.

"Yeah it sucks to be stuck in a quarantined zone like that, but he's making the best of it. He get's to watch a lot of NSFL and DSFL so his knowledge base isn't deteriorating any, and he's even staying on top of his game as he's set trashcans throughout the house to help practice his arm as he throws away old tissues!" said Evans.

"I like Tom man he's a great guy, I know he will fight through this and that when he's ready the team will be ready for him. We all miss him at practice and games but we understand the intensity of the illness and as bad as it sounds we rather just he be sick than the entire team. It sucks but when he gets back this team will click even better than before." said Clemente.

The story continues to develop in this truly odd case, many are wondering whether or not Tom will recover in time to see the field this season. Other's are frustrated at the fact that an antiquated rule was not followed which would have forced Sofa onto the field of play not only putting others at risk, but also sabotaging the Buccaneers as a player under so much physical stress with the sickness would only hurt his team. Time will only tell how this story will develop. Our prayers are with you Tom!

I'm surprised Heath needed to wear a Hazmat suit, he couldn't catch anything if his life depended on it.
