*Introducing the Season 32 ISFL All-Pro Team - Pat - 01-07-2022

Congratulations to the season 32 Sim Football Writers Guild All-Pro Team!

QUARTERBACK (Unanimous selection)
1st team: Dexter Zaylren BER
Key Stats: 4228 pass yards, 35 TDs, 5 INTs, 7:1 TD:INT, 7.51 ANY/A

2nd team: Mattathias Caliban COL
Key Stats: 5552 pass yards, 39 TDs, 10 INT

From the first game of the season, we knew that Zaylren was going to be a Quarterback to watch during Season 32. The second-year signal caller in Berlin put the league on notice from the get go, hanging a 300 yard, 5 touchdown, 0 interception game against Chicago in Week 1, and continued his run of dominance through the entire year, leading Berlin to an 11-5 record as well as an Ultimus berth. Zaylren’s volume stats, which were very impressive, were not the biggest reason he was an unanimous first team selection - it was his efficiency. Leading the league with an absurd 7-to-1 touchdown to interception ratio, as well as pacing the league with a 7.51 ANY/A for the season.

Our second team selection this season is the leader of the Colorado Air Raid Mattathias Caliban. Caliban was unleashed this season, amassing an absurd 5,552 yards as well as 39 touchdowns. The biggest complaints the voters had with him this season was simply his inability to consistently put the ball in his receivers’ hands, where his 59.73% completion rate was among the lowest in the league. The Yeti were not deterred, however, as they allowed Caliban to let it rip a league-leading 750 times during Season 32. This mass amount of attempts was brought with efficiency in a different sense, Caliban despite all the attempts Caliban maintained a 3.9 TD:INT ratio as he threw only 10 interceptions, the second lowest INT% in the league only behind Zaylren.

RUNNING BACK
1st team: Zoe Watts AUS
Key Stats: 5.0 YPC, 2070 Scrimmage Yards, 17 Total TDs
1st team: Deadly Memes ARI
Key Stats: 20 Total TDs, 26.86% RushingFD%

2nd team: John Huntsman SAR
Key Stats: 20 Total TDs, 11.13 YPR,
2nd team: Goat Tank BER
Key Stats: 4.92 YPC, 1531 Rush yards, 12 Rushes of 20+ yards

Zoe Watts has once again found her way into the All-Pro team as our resident queen of efficiency. Her 5.0 YPC for this season brings her last 4 season average to…5.0 YPC! That’s a 4-year stretch as one of the most efficient runners in the league. And this season, she put that efficiency to work by racking up the highest scrimmage yards total among RBs (by almost 200 yards). Cracking the 2K mark is a feat to be celebrated in its own right, but to stay so highly efficient and productive on the league’s second highest workload is truly remarkable!

Memes, while also one of the most efficient rushers this year, has made our list in no small part thanks to their incredible 18 rushing touchdowns! Now, some of you may be thinking “but Goat Tank had 19 last year, so 19 isn’t that great.” But, what if I told you that Memes did it on 150 less carries? He also managed to be one of the most sure-handed pass-catchers among RBs, with a whopping 69% catch rate! The dual threat ability, along with being tied for highest Total TDs among RBs made memes a simple addition to our First Team!

You may be asking, “Who was he tied with?” None other than John Huntsman! Johnny H was another TD machine, breaking the plane 20 times on the season. He managed a 1k yard season, despite being one of the younger starters in the league. His efficiency and volume didn’t exactly fly off the charts, but his nose for the endzone was as strong as a polar bear. His work in the passing game also helped his case, with an impressive 11.13 yards per catch and over 500 yards. Huntsman could be setting up to be the future of the RBs in the league.

Last but most certainly not least, we’ve got Goat Tank! The Goat ate up yards in chunks this season, with more rushes of 20+ yards than anyone else. That was on his way to the 3rd highest rushing total on the year. And, putting 2 and 2 together, that most mean that he did it with our favorite “E” word. That’s right! Efficiency! 4.9 YPC on over 300 carries is outstanding no matter who you stack it up against. Tank has been putting up crazy numbers his whole career, so this goes down as just another chapter in what seems to be a HOF career.

WIDE RECEIVER
1st team: Tugg Speedman (Unanimous selection) NYS
Key stats: 117 catches, 1781 yards, 13 TDs, 68% catch rate, 10.35 yards/target
1st team: Jake Fencik PHI
Key stats: 97 catches, 1673 yards, 11 TDs, 10.59 yards/target, 17.25 yards/catch

2nd team: Bayley Cowabunga AUS
Key stats: 113 catches, 1257 yards, 15 TDs, 71% catch rate, 0 drops
2nd team: Jackson Kingston SAR
Key stats: 109 catches, 1686 yards, 9 TDs, 9.98 yards/target, 15.47 yards/catch

Unanimous first teamer Tugg Speedman had a fantastic season for the New York Silverbacks. Not only did he have the volume, he also had the efficiency. Speedman led the ISFL in receiving yards, was 2nd in touchdowns, 3rd in catch rate, and 2nd in yards per target. Not only was he consistent, but he also made big plays leading the league in catches of both 20 yards and 40 yards. Tugg was an easy choice.

The other first teamer Jake Fencik probably could’ve been a unanimous selection if it weren’t for Tugg. Fencik might have trailed a little bit behind Speedman in the volume stats, but he was even more efficient. He was 3rd in yards, T-3rd in TDs, led the league in both yards per catch and yards per target and was also pretty splashy as well being 3rd in 20+ yard catches and T-1st in 40+ yard catches.

Bayley Cowabunga is a very different receiver than our first teamers, but also managed to put up an insane season in their own right. Cowabunga is a short yardage specialist that had a nose for the end zone and should probably have their gloves checked for foreign substances. Leading the league with a nutty 71% catch rate, the only WR with notable volume to have 0 drops, Cowabunga also led the league with 15 touchdowns.

Kingston had a great season as well and probably could’ve found himself on the first team if he was able to find the end zone a few more times. That said, Kingston was highly efficient, very splashy, and put up a ton of yards. 2nd in the league in receiving yards, 4th in yards per catch, 3rd in yards per target, 2nd in 20+ yard catches and T-1st in 40+ yard catches.

TIGHT END
1st team: Borgo San Lorenzo PHI
Key stats: 93 targets, 89 receptions, 954 yards, 10.7 yard per catch, 8 TD, 27 pancakes, 0 sacks allowed
2nd team: Mario Messi SAR
Key stats: 93 targets, 87 receptions, 758 yards, 8.7 yard per catch, 6 TD, 58 pancakes, 0 sacks allowed

I mean what more can we say Borgo San Lorenzo has been a total devastating weapon for Philadelphia's offense this year, leading the next best TE by more than 150 yards, getting close to the equivalent of 10 yards more per game. Not only have they led all TE in receiving yards they were able to find the redzone on 8 separate occasions, twice more than the next best. Quite frankly it's been a dominant season for Borgo San Lorenzo this year. Just about to hit his prime years, we could really see them dominate this role for seasons to come.

Mario Messi has been a consistent TE throughout their career so far in the ISFL. This season he continued his find form, finding the endzone 6 times (2nd), whistling racking up a respectable 758 yards (3rd) in the air. They were an absolute beast on the offensive line this year, contributing 58 pancakes (2nd) over the course of the season, without allowing a single sack. A fine fine achievement. Another TE in their prime, it’ll be a close race next year to reach that converted 1st team all pro roster spot.

FULLBACK
First Team: Buster Bawlls (Unanimous selection) NYS
Key Stats: 63 pancakes, 0 sacks allowed, 165 scrimmage yards, 3 total touchdowns
Second Team: Ben Alexander-Arnold AUS
Key Stats:  45 pancakes, 0 sacks allowed, 131 scrimmage yards, 82% catch rate

Buster Bawlls makes his annual appearance on the All-Pro team with his 5th straight All-Pro performance and another unanimous selection. Bawlls led the Fullback position in every major statistical category from blocking to rushing to receiving. He once again proved that he is the most complete Fullback in the ISFL.

Ben Alexander-Arnold makes the All-Pro team for a 4th season. Alexander-Arnold put together another great season at Fullback by trailing only Buster Bawlls in almost every statistical category that is relevant to the position. He was 2nd in pancakes, scrimmage yards, yards per carry, and also didn’t allow a sack across the entire season.

OFFENSIVE TACKLE
1st team: Stumpy Jones SAR
Key Stats: 110 pancakes, 0 sacks allowed, 2 catches, 22 receiving yards
1st team: Ananda Adyan BER
Key Stats: 139 pancakes, 2 sacks allowed

2nd team: Alexander Franklin PHI
Key Stats: 107 pancakes, 0 sacks allowed, 1 fumble recovery, 3 catches, 7 receiving yards
2nd team: Icebox Riposte CHI
Key Stats: 124 pancakes, 1 sack allowed, 1 fumble recovery

Perennial first team All Pro Stumpy Jones makes another appearance with the holy trinity of offensive line stats. Triple digit pancakes, 0 sacks allowed, and some receiving stats. Jones was only 4th amongst OT’s in pancakes, but he had the most pancakes among OT’s that didn’t allow a single sack. Not to mention his receiving prowess.

Ananda Adyan might as well franchise an IHOP because he was creating pancakes all season long. Adyan was the league leader in pancakes, and 4th most all time, while only allowing 2 sacks on the season.

Second teamer Alexander Franklin also hit the holy trinity of offensive line stats with his 107 pancakes, 0 sacks allowed, and 7 receiving yards. Franklin was 5th in the league in pancakes, but made up for it by being flawless in not giving up a sack. Also he had 7 yards on 3 catches.

Last but not least, Icebox Riposte put up a very respectable season for an OT. Being 3rd in the league in pancakes was quite the accomplish, but the only thing holding him back from a first team appearance was the single sack that he allowed. On top of the impressive pancake numbers he only drew a single penalty flag against him and even recovered a fumble.

OFFENSIVE GUARD
1st team: Felix Archstone (Unanimous selection) AUS
Key Stats: 100 Pancakes, 1 SA
1st team: Maiteers Rico-Shea OCO
Key Stats: 76 Pancakes, 0 SA

2nd team: Bob Roberts NYS
Key Stats: 77 Pancakes, 1 SA, 1 Penalty
2nd team: Bernie Sanders ARI
Key Stats: 80 Pancakes, 3 SA

Guards are the unsung heroes of the offensive line. And Felix is the best of that bunch this season. He was the only Guard to hit triple digit Pancakes on the year, and only gave up 1 sack. His ability to hold down the interior of the line was a big reason that the Austin offense finished in the top three in both scoring and yards, and produced two All-Pro skill position players. Archstone has long been a frequent member of the ISFL All-Pro team, as this season marks his third time being voted to the team (2 first team selections).

Our other first team selection this season is also no stranger to the All-Pro team, also being selected three times (2 first team selections) and showing no signs of slowing down. The Otters have not had very strong seasons recently, but Rico-Shea has definitely not been part of the blame, as he posted yet another season without allowing his Quarterback to be taken to the ground. That, combined with his impressive 76 pancakes, made Rico-Shea an easy pick for the voters.

The first player on our second team this season is none other than the infamous Blob from New York - Bob Roberts. In a lot of ways, Roberts had a better season than Rico-Shea, posting more pancakes (77 to 76) and being penalized less (1 vs 5). However, Roberts did allow his Quarterback to be sacked once this season, and that was enough for the voters to keep him on the second team.

The last Guard on the team this season is the young politician from Arizona, Bernie Sanders, whose 80 pancakes were the second-most by any Guard this season. Where Sanders had the biggest issue this season was in his on-field decorum, as he was flagged a staggering 11 times for 80 yards. It was not enough to deter voters, however, as they understood that sometimes you have to get your hands dirty if you want to knock people on their butts.

CENTER
1st team: Manhattan Project COL
Key Stats: 98 Pancakes, 1 SA
2nd team: Ben Slothlisberger NOLA
Key Stats: 79 Pancakes, 0 SA
Asking for much more out of a Center than what the Yeti got out of MP this year is ridiculous. Almost reaching triple digit pancakes as a non-Tackle lineman is a remarkable feat. And doing so while only allowing 1 Sack in an entire season is amazing! While there aren’t many stats used to separate our OL, one that does often get overlooked is Penalties! In almost 1200 snaps, Manhattan Project was penalized only twice. TWICE! And it only cost the Yeti 10 yards. While they did not accomplish the “Clean Season” with 0 SA, this is as close as you can get to perfection without getting your eyes wet.

And for our Second Team, we have the former Quarterback, Ben Slothlisberger! Sloth did in-fact complete the Clean Season, managing to not once be responsible for his QB hitting the deck. Which is astounding given that he was on the field for OVER 1200 plays. And, similar to our First Teamer, Slothlisberger was only penalized twice in the whole season. These two players were in a class of their own this year, combining impressive pancakes with great discipline and protection.

DEFENSIVE TACKLE
1st team: Chuck Roth (Unanimous selections) ARI
Key stats: 74 tackles (1st), 10 sacks (1st), 4 TFL, 1 FF/1FR
1st team: Honky-Tonk Haywood PHI
Key stats: 67 tackles (4th), 6 sacks (3rd), 3FF/3FR (1st)

2nd team: Dominos Pizzaman OCO
Key stats: 52 tackles, 9 TFL (1st), 2 sacks, 2 FF/2FR
2nd team: Patrik MoneyYKW
Key stats: 63 tackles, 7 sacks (2nd), 1 safety

Since the All-Pro team started back in Season 28, you could argue that both of our first team Defensive Tackles have been two of the most dominant players at their positions in the entire league, with at least one of Roth or Haywood being named to the first time roster every season since the beginning of the All-Pro team - three in total for Roth and four in a row for Haywood. This is also the second season in a row that both first team spots on the roster went to the former Portland Python teammates.

Roth played like a man possessed all season for the Outlaws, where he led all DTs in both tackles and sacks. Haywood took a bit of a step back in production from Season 31, but he still finished top four at the position in both tackles and sacks, and his big play ability (3 forced fumbles and 3 recoveries) earned him another spot on the team. Coincidentally, the Outlaws and the Liberty finished 1st and 2nd in the league for scoring defense in Season 32, and with absolute studs up front like these two, it’s easy to see why.

On the second team we have two players both making their debuts on the All-Pro team this season, and both got here in very different ways. First up is a player who I think we’ll be seeing on many All-Pro and Pro Bowl lists for a long time, Dominos Pizzaman from the Otters. Dominos might not have a 30-minute guarantee any longer, but this Pizzaman guaranteed 60 minutes of run stopping week in and week out, and mustered up nine tackles behind the line of scrimmage, a number that not only led all Defensive Tackles, but was also good enough for third most in the entire league!

Our last DT on the list this season is proof that some things really do get better with age. Patrik Money has been entering the twilight of his career for a couple of seasons now, and he showed in Season 32 that he still had some life in his old bones. Money proved to be a problem for interior linemen all season as he racked up an impressive amount of tackles and also finished with the second-most sacks for all Defensive Tackles. To further cement his place on the list, Money also chipped in a safety!

DEFENSIVE END
1st team: Medicinal Toblerone NOLA
Key stats: 69 tackles, 9 sacks, 9 TFL, 3 FF, 2 FR
1st team: Demon Jaxson SAR
Key stats: 68 tackles, 8 sacks, 8 TFL, 3 FF

2nd team: David Frank HON
Key stats: 31 tackles, 10 sacks, 6 TFL, 1 Safety, 96.88% tackle rate
2nd team:  Brick Van Sanzo NYS
Key stats: 30 tackles, 7 sacks, 3 TFL, 5 FF, 2 FR, 1 Safety

Before digging into our Defensive End selections, we need to address the elephant in the room. You probably have noticed that the reigning Defensive End of the Year, Leonard Taylor, is not one of the selections this season. When we began discussions and gathering votes, it came to our notice that Taylor played a majority of his snaps as an OLB in the 3-4 defense. Due to that, his overall numbers were inflated above those who played all of their snaps at Defensive End. To make it fair, we decided that he would not be eligible for the team as a DE this season.

With that out of the way, let’s talk about these four very deserving players!

On the first team we have two players who put almost identical stats this season - Medicinal Toblerone for NOLA and Demon Jaxson for Sarasota. These two led all non-Taylor defensive ends in tackles and tackles for loss, and finished in the top three at their position in sacks, showing that these veterans have not lost a step in their old age!

The second team welcomes a fresh face to the All-Pro team, David Frank for Honolulu, and a player that anyone who’s been following the All-Pro teams is familiar with, Brick Van Sanzo for New York. While these two did not put up the high tackle numbers that other Defensive Ends did this season, they both made a habit of making big plays with their opportunities. Frankwas one of only two DEs to post double digit sacks, and over 50% of his tackles were made in the offensive backfield! Van Sanzo may not have put up the sacks numbers were used to seeing from him, but his five forced fumbles were good enough for fourth-most in the league in Season 32.

OUTSIDE LINEBACKER
1st team: Big Slammu HON
Key stats: 19 Sacks, 11 TFLs, 7 FF, 132 Tackles
1st team: Gary Goodman PHI
Key stats: 18 Sacks, 53.54 Catch%, 4 FF, 4 INTs, 1 DTD

2nd team: BamBam McMullet BER
Key stats: 20 Sacks, 2 INTs, 4 FFs
2nd team: Juan Domine CHI
Key stats: 16 Sacks, 1 Safety, 1 DTD, 4 FFs

Big Slammu dominated. Simple as that. You need a play stopped, he’s the guy to call. 132 Tackles was 3rd among all defenders in the league, so he’s already off to a great start there. Then all he did on top of that was throw in 19 sacks, only 1 off the sack leader. Oh wait, what’s that? 11 TFLs as well? So 30 total negative plays created. That’s incredible, but surely it stops there? No?! There’s still more?! Throw on top of that giant pile another 7 Forced Fumbles, and 3 recoveries. This is a dominant season in Slammu’s second year in the big league’s. This user is no stranger to Hall of Fame careers and it seems that Slammu may be well on his way.

Our other First Team rep is Gary Goodman. And, yes, he was good…man. Having a player on your defense who forced 4 fumbles and picks the ball off 4 times AND laid down 18 sacks seems a little unfair to the rest of us! Offenses feared him, and they were right too. Even when he was thrown at, which happened almost 100 times, he only allowed 53% of those throws to be completed. Having Goodman in your defense is like having one of the best Linebackers and a really good corner in one player. Truly an incredible season from a great player.

I mentioned a sack leader before, and you don’t have to wait any longer to hear about them! McMullet was a nightmare for QBs this season, racking up a whopping 20 sacks. That stands alone as worthy of recognition, but I think it’s even more impressive that he managed to do so while also compiling very impressive coverage stats. Linebackers are known for their versatility and BamBam put that on full display. Factoring in his 14 PDs and 2 INTs meant that Quarterbacks had to factor him into any play they wanted to call; run or pass!

Finally, rounding out the Second Team, we’ve got Juan Domine. No stranger to the All-Pro list, Domine laid down the law in similar fashion to Goodman and McMullet, by combining play-stopping power with solid coverage work. 16 Sacks in combination with 8 TFLs puts him near the top for total negative plays created. On top of that he created multiple turnovers and even turned one of those into a TD. Add a safety as the cherry on top of this great stat line, and you’ve got one fantastic season. It’s always a boon when your defense wants to get involved in point scoring!

INSIDE LINEBACKER
1st team: Rusty Rucker (Unanimous selection) COL
Key stats: 11 Sacks, 11 TFLs, 8 FFs

2nd team: Sakeem Webb NYS
Key stats: 13 PDs, 5 Sacks, 6 TFLs

Rucker officially put up one of the craziest seasons we’ve ever seen from an Inside Linebacker. When the committee initially saw the stat line, we were convinced he had played Outside Linebacker and we had just overlooked it. But it all checked out. Turns out, all he did this season was stop the ball. A whopping combined 22 negative plays was good enough for 6th most among all Linebackers, regardless of where they were lined up. Stack that on top of 144 tackles (second among all defenders) and 8 Forced Fumbles, and you’ve got yourself a playstopper and momentum killer! If we set the bar here for ILB seasons, then we may be disappointed for a little while to come. But for now, let’s just bask in its glory!

Our Second Team selection this season may not jump off the page, especially when compared to Rucker’s numbers. However, when you put it in the context of being a rookie, it all elevates! What an incredible first year in the big leagues! The versatility is there, being able to get to the QB or defend passes. He even managed triple digit tackles in his first year, and forced a couple fumbles. It seems that if any ILBs are going to chase after Rucker’s numbers, Webb could very well be one that is in the hunt.

CORNERBACK
1st team: Rich Triplet ARI
Key stats: 161 targets, 101 catches allowed, 6 INT’s, 35 pass breakups, 91 tackles, 1 defensive TD
1st team: Doy Fieri PHI
Key stats: 143 targets, 87 catches allowed, 5 INT’s, 30 pass breakups, 71 tackles, 2 defensive TD
1st team flex: Willie Miller SJS
Key Stats: 173 targets, 109 catches allowed, 5 INT’s, 37 pass breakups, 101 tackles, 1 defensive TD

2nd team: Swantavius Jones BER
Key stats: 159 targets, 93 catches allowed, 5 INT’s, 28 pass breakups, 84 tackles, 0 defensive TD
2nd team: Redbeard McFredbeard COL
Key stats: 140 targets, 76 catches allowed, 4 INT’s, 25 pass breakups, 66 tackles, 0 defensive TD

The first thing that needs to be said, if a cornerback is doing their job correctly, then the should not show up in any stats due to the tight coverage they provide for their team. The better the cornerback you are the less you show up in the stats. However, each player selected found a way to both hide from the stats whilst standing a foot higher than the rest. As you can see, it was a standout season for CB in general, filling up 5 of the 6 possible roster spots across the 1st and 2nd teams. The future looks tough for any QB stepping into the league.

Rich Triplet made the jump from 2nd team all pro last season to the 1st team all pro with a career season. Racking up a huge amount of pass breakup, 35 2nd from any CB this season. Rich racked up the most INT of the season for CB. HE was able to allow a very respectable catch percentage of 62%. Any QB targeting Rich should think twice about their options before sending a pass his way, for there is a high chance at best the pass is broken up or at worst picked off.

Doy Fieri, finally made the All-pro team for the first time and set his bar high by making the 1st team. Building on from a fantastic previous season Doy was able to take that last step and be the difference. Racking up an incredible 5 INT’s over the course of the year and taking 2 of them to the house for 6, is nothing short of fantastic. It's safe to say that Don can very easily lay claim to the title of Shutdown corner this year, allowing 76 completions from 143 targets or a completion percentage of 54.2%, simply next level. I don’t think there is much more to say than don’t throw the football his way.

Coming into his 4th season in the ISFL Wilie Miller was looking to take that step upto the elite level, and they certainly did deliver. Racking up a huge 101 total tackles for the season, 3rd among all CB. It wasn’t just their ground game which was impressive, picking off unsuspecting QB’s 5 times over the course of the year, gave OC plenty to think about, can’t beat him threw the air or on the ground. Hopefully they’ll be able to continue this progress and become a simply unstoppable player for years to come.

Swantavius Jones makes a return to the all pro team since they last appeared on in S29. They were able to put together a very solid season, making 5 INT’s a career high. A very solid 58.4% allowed completion rate certainly is nothing to take lightly. With 28 passes defended, an improvement on his previous season of 17 but nothing close to the insane 40 he made 4 seasons ago, is an area they will be looking to improve on in the offseason. With an improvement here, a first appearance in the 1st team all pro is certainly on the cards.

Redbeard McFredbeard had a career year simply put, making a career high number of INT’s , force fumbles & pass breakups a  spot on the all pro roster is certainly deserved. An extremely strong pass completion rate of 54.2% shows that they are one tight coverage CB. In his 6th year in the ISFL its great to see the hard work and determination pay off and reach a new height.

SAFETY
1st team: Eugene Smoothie (Unanimous selection) ARI
Key stats: 7 INT’s, 4 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 96% tackle rate
1st team: Chathack'rius Smith IV AUS
Key stats: 3 sacks, 3 INT’s, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 3 defensive TDs

2nd team: Cuco Clemente SAR
Key stats: 4 INT’s, 2 defensive TDs, 0.13 PDs/target, 0 penalties
2nd team: Pasta the Turtle BAL
Key stats: 6 INT’s, 18 passes defended, 11 missed tackles

2nd team flex: Romulus Roman PHI
Key stats: 58.33% catch rate allowed, 3 sacks, 4 INT’s

Safety has often been seen as a troubled position since the sim transfer, but this season there were an abundance of outstanding performances at the position that deserved recognition. In fact, for the first time ever since the All-Pro teams have been compiled, a defensive back flex spot went to a safety over a cornerback!

Unanimous 1st-teamer Eugene Smoothie was, much like his coverage this season, a surefire pick. After leaving the Otters in free agency to join the rival Arizona Outlaws, he was able to lead the league in interceptions, beating out not just all other safeties but even all cornerbacks with his 7 interceptions. He was by no means a one-dimensional player, however, also recording 4 sacks when he chose to harass quarterbacks a different way. His 96% tackle rate from only 2 missed tackles the entire season, as well as his 2 forced fumbles, show that he was no slouch at generating big hits in the trenches either.

Smoothie was joined by third year safety Chathack’rius Smith IV, who also was awarded the defensive breakout player recognition this season. Smith earned his first team spot through big play ability, posting 3 defensive TD’s over the course of the season on 4 turnovers. His impact was by no means limited to those plays, however, as he also recorded a respectable 56 tackles, 3 sacks, and 12 passes defended. It will definitely be exciting to see how this promising young safety continues to develop in future seasons.

The second team safeties were a great bunch and would have easily contended for 1st team in most previous seasons, but didn’t quite have the same playmaking ability that Smith and Smoothie demonstrated. Perennial all-pro Clemente added yet another star to his resume with his 5th straight selection, with his 4 INT’s and 2 DTD’s not quite enough to win our voters’ hearts despite other good stats. The rookie Pasta the Turtle made a big impact with 6 interceptions, but also made some big impacts in the opposite direction with 11 missed tackles demonstrating a lack of reliability in his early days. And finally the first-ever all-pro safety DB flex, Romulus Roman, excelled in coverage both in turnover generation and in coverage, allowing under 60% of targets in his direction to be caught by the receiver.

Key stats: 34/40 85% FG, 51/51 100% XP, 6/7 50+ FG
2nd team: Cade York ARI
Key stats: 32/37 86% FG, 52/53 98% XP, 5/6 50+ FG

Ikick Ballz made the All-Pro team in his rookie season by being 2nd Field Goals Attempts, T-1st in Field Goals Made, and 4th in Field Goal %. He also attempted and made the most Field Goals from 50+ yards alongside the highest Field Goal % from that distance among kickers with more than 1 attempt. Not to mention he was perfect on over 50 Extra Point Attempts.

Cade York put together another solid season for Arizona and was even more accurate than the first teamer. York was 3rd in Field Goal Attempts, 3rd in Field Goals Made, and 2nd in Field Goal %. Not to mention he was just behind Ikick Ballz in the 50+ yard range category. Missing just 1 Extra Point on 50+ attempts isn’t too bad either.

PUNTER:
1st team: Blago Kokot (Unanimous selection) YKW
Key Stats: 48.6 yard average, 58% inside the 20, 72 long
2nd team: Sam Sidekick CHI
Key Stats: 48.4 yard average, 48% inside the 20, 64 long

Blago Kokot had a season for the ages, by far the best punting season by a player since S27. Blago had the 2nd most punts inside the 20 in league history, and he did that on a middle of the road punting volume compared to the rest of the league. His inside the 20 % of 58.4% was also the 2nd highest in league history, just 0.1% behind the record. Kokot was an easy unanimous selection for the committee. Not to mention his 48.6 yard punt average was 2nd in the league.

Sidekick’s season wasn’t too far behind Kokot. His 48.4 yard punt average was good enough for 3rd in the ISFL this season. He also put up the 3rd most punts inside the 20 on just 79 punts, which is good enough for the 10th best all-time inside the 20 %.

RETURNER:
1st team: Tugg Speedman NYS
Key Stats: 25.52 yard avg on kick returns, 41 long, 13.35 yard avg on punt returns, 74 long
2nd team: Jackson Kingston SAR
Key Stats: 27.07 yard avg on kick returns, 39 long, 9.03 yard avg on punt returns, 79 long

Tugg Speedman earned his All-Pro appearance on punt returns, leading the league in punt return average while also having the 4th most punt returns in the league and having the 3rd longest punt of the season. Speedman wasn’t great at kick returning with just a 25.5 yard average, but it was good enough to make him the most well-rounded returner this season.

On the other hand, Jackson Kingston earned his All-Pro appearance on kick returns. He was 4th in both kick return average as well as kickoff return volume. Kingston also handled the most punts in the league, but was middle of the road in punt return average. Combined he was a pretty well-rounded returner that also returned the most kicks in the ISFL.

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read through the Season 32 All-Pro team! This season led to some of the most debate we’ve seen since launching the team, as we only had eight unanimous players elected to the First Team, down from a staggering 11 in Season 31. I want to take a moment to thank again all of the members of the Simulation Football Writers Guild for all of their discussion this past offseason, and for helping put all of this together. This is very much a passion project for every one of us, and I think I speak for all of us when I say that it means a lot to know that you all enjoy reading and discussing these teams.

In pursuit of transparency, as we began doing last season, we are publishing the individual ballots of all seven of our voters this season. While I ask that you maintain respect and decorum in doing so, you are welcome to reach out to the voters about their individual ballots. View those votes in the spreadsheet here.

As always, the Simulation Football Writer’s Guild is open to bringing new members into the guild. Linked here is a post qWest made in the past that discusses what we do and how you might reach out to get on board.

Hip hip hooray again for all of the S32 All-Pro players!

Maybe it's all the smoking and drinking taking a toll on your face, but I could have sworn you're like 4 seasons into regression already.

Nice work on this! Would love to see a break down by player too. Curious if any one else has 5

Thanks!
I believe the only other person besides Cuco to make it every season is Buster Bawlls. We've had a number of people named four times, but those are the only ones on every year's list (as far as I can tell).
