To be the best, you have to train with the best and that is exactly what Vincent Sharpei did in the off season in Chicago. He had sent invites out to Jayce Tuck and his brother, who both ended up coming up to Chicago for the workouts. Besides being in Chicago and showing Jayce around, they lived in the gym and on the field for a few weeks. Anything that could be done to insure the workout was substantial. Vincent Sharpei even took some snaps on the defensive end because you never know what is going to happen. Back and forth Jayce Tuck went with Sharpei making sure each other got better at reading one another and making sure that they could read the plays of each other. Learning some different moves and continued support from one another has brought up a lot of things in the media. Reports even came out through a bunch of different Media spots that this could start the beginning of the end for Sharpei’s days in San Jose, after being seen on town with a two time champion. Only time will tell, but until then Vincent and Jayce will continue to work out and destroy these practices and go into training camp ready to go.
The priority of this past offseason for Baltimore Hawks star defensive end Kurt Hendrix was to improve his motor. A decrease in effectiveness late in games and late in the season was one of the few chinks in his armor. Gaining so much weight and strength from the previous season undoubtedly hurt the cardiovascular system of Hendrix. After the Ultimus, the priority was endurance improvement. There is nothing better at improving endurance than training for a triathlon. Kurt bought himself a top of the line road bicycle and went out to Colorado with a few teammates for a one month long altitude training camp. The typical day included waking up at 6am and heading out on the bike to complete one of Colorado's challenging yet beautiful ascents. Some of them took an hour long or more. After that, the group would head back to the base camp for lunch and some rest. In the evening it was either a distance run on the trails or a bunch of laps in the pool. Kurt had a history of two-a-days, but aerobic work to this magnitude was foreign to him. It was pure hell at first but just like everything else the body adapted to the stress. An even more ferocious, energized, and high motor Hendrix is about to be unleashed on the NSFL in S3, which is a scary thought indeed. (230)
After the missing the playoffs after making it to the Ultimus the previous year, Johnathon Saint has never been as motivated as he was this offseason. Undoubtedly having his best offseason to date, he might be a favorite to walk away with the Defensive Player of the Year this season. The first thing Johnathon Saint did was start Angus Winchester Strong like Bull workout routine. His saw results immediately. He went from a 255 pounds bench press to 435 pounds. Saint the =n proceeded to get his degree in Educational Science. When we talked to Mr. Saint after he got his degree, he said he always wanted to be the cool science teacher. So he vowed to become a chemistry teacher after his career in the NSFL is over. One of the most important things, Johnathon Saint did over the offseason was taking yoga classes. When describing the experience he said it was weird because everybody would stare at him. “I guess it was the first time they saw a six foot two, 255 lb. person in their class. After the novelty wore off though we became a giant family and we just love each other now.” We also talked to the Yeti’s head coach. The coach believed that with all the work Saint has done in the offseason, he could easily win Defensive Player of the Year this season.
After finishing college and declaring for the NSFL S3 Draft, Brian Wheat has been putting in a lot of time and effort to be drafted in this great league. It was a tough decision for Brian as he thought about staying for his senior year and getting some more work in. He ultimately decided it was best for him and his family to forgo his senior year and go straight to the well respected NFSL. Brian has worked with well respected coaches and players to make his game better. He knew his biggest weakness was feet work and he worked endless hours with coaches to get it better. For one week, he enjoyed himself and spend a entire week in Hawaii with his Fiancee. That would be his only vacation as he wanted to work so much on making his game better. Brian Wheat hopes with all this work he has put in, he can really show any team in the NSFL that he is the real deal and he is ready to take his work to the next level and prove to everyone that he can make it anywhere. As soon as his name is called, he is ready to get to work.
King Bronko didnt need to do anything to prepare for this upcoming season. That would imply that the 2 time Ultimus champ was ready 24/7! But that doesnt mean his offseason wasn't lit as fuck.
Bronko spent about 6 hours a day playing NSFL '17, his favorite game. The game was much better than last years' edition, however, because the Outlaws are so good in real life, using them in a game is almost no fun, since its pretty much always an automatic win.
After that, he'd hit the gym, just to keep fresh. "Thats the key to staying ready for the season", Bronko told reporter Trisha Takanawa, "You dont have to prepare during the offseason if you just never stop that regular season grind!"
Next up, him and his friends would usually mess with their ex-teammate Stormblessed. They would make fake tinder accounts in an attempt to get him to swipe on them, and when they "matched", they would respond to him with pictures of big, fat, hairy men! Yeah, the Outlaws have a lot of free time on their hands.
Anyways, thats what Bronko did in the offseason. Now that he has some actual QB experience under his belt, he has told the league he is coming for that Top QB award!
