Oh this is easy! I think the perfect mash up would be the Osaka Kaiju and the New York Silverbacks mascots! Thats a totally original idea...oh wait, that would just be...King Kong? Okay, lets start over. Lets try the Kaiju and the Berlin Firesalamanders mascot! Ope, after a quick google it looks like thats been done too...Salamandar? A Kaiju from the show Spectreman? Hmm... Oh! The Kaiju and the Cape Town Crash Mascot? Fuck, thats been done too. Rhinosaurus? Really...from Godzilla: The Series? I've never heard of that one. Okay, there literally cannot be a Hawk Kaiju, can there? Shit, there is! Hawk Monster from Skull Island, the Neftlix series about King Kong. Okay so we can't make a unique mash up of the Kaiju and Silverbacks, Firesalamanders, Crash, or Hawks. I guess maybe we could try the Kaiju and the Copperheads? I mean, there are definitely some snake Kaiju, but maybe we could go a different direction and just give it a copper head? (Thats been done too, FML). (170 words)

This is a very cool prompt and allows for a lot of creative freedom and options, so I think some ISFL/DSFL matchups would be fun. The first one I can think of is Tijuana and Arizona as they work well together for numerous reasons. Geographically they are two of the closest teams possible as they're really right across the border from each other. They also both have a lot of history as they both went on dominant runs earlier this decade. I mean even current Arizona QB Puddles O'Duck was a luchador, the fit is just spectacular. The other ISFL/DSFL matchup I have is based more on personal experience then anything, but Portland and Berlin would be fun. I'm one of many Portland alumnus currently on Berlin with many other important players also being former Pythons. I also think a Fire Python logo would look absolutely beautiful, I need to see one of those made soon.

For this exercise, I'm going to mashup two ISFL mascots to make the most intimidating figure possible. To start, I'm going to use the objectively most frightening mascot in the league - the Osaka Kaiju. A Kaiju is obviously already very intimidating, but what would make it even more so? That's right, the ability to fly. By mashing up the Osaka and Baltimore mascots, we now have a massive beast-like monster that can fly 120 miles per hour. You (probably) can't hide from it, you can't run from it, and you aren't going to overpower it. Comparing it to existing mascots, the only others that could possibly stand up to this are the Wraiths due to them them being undead or the cowardly mascots that may be able to hide in the nearest body of water. That being said, based on Kaiju representation in movies, there's no reason to believe this new monster would not be massive enough to wade through ocean and bring the fight to them there. It wouldn't be very good at football, though.

Vikings and Bengals to reunite the LSU champs having Joe Burrow with Jamar Chase and Justin Jefferson might be the best trio from college ever. Not only did they put up absurd numbers in college but all 3 of them were very good right off the bat in the pro's. The fact that they are from different conference's only makes it better because if I had to say the Ravens ...I just wouldn't there is no way I could or any other team in the AFC North. The NFC North on the other hand I think I like all the teams in it a little bit, most likely because of fantasy football but either way I am good with it. I also think a Viking with a pet Bengal tiger would be a formidable duo as well. I think combining the defense would finish the job with 2 great coordinators.

The players I would mash up would be my player Klaus and @nunccoepi's player Marshall von Hildebrand. Combing a OL and a K would be a pretty cool and unique combination. The player's name would be Klaus von Hildebrand. The player would maintain the size and strength of Klaus, but then would have the kicking skillset of Marshall. This combination would allow for Klaus von Hildebrand to break every kicking distance record in existence. And during kickoffs, Klaus would be a terror to come against if would have the opportunity to make contact with the returner. On the offensive line side of things, Marshall would be able to bring his agility and footwork, helping Klaus be an even more effective offensive lineman, being able to match up well against a league where defensive ends are getting quicker and quicker. I love this combination because it is a mashup of my first player playing with his friend being on the same team. While I believe that there exists better combinations than a K and OL, I think that this would be a fun combo regardless.

Okay, first off, I love the creativity here, but honestly, the answer here is incredibly clear. You’re going to go mascots no matter what because even with the weird ass players in the league, they’re still just people, and with mascots, they’re NOT. When you look at the mascots, it takes you about 10 seconds to realize the first part of the mashup is going to be the Osaka Kaiju mascot. I mean, a massive, Godzilla-like creature is a hell of a start for a mashup. So what would be a good combo? You could go with a Copperhead or a Sabrecat, which means you’d get a REALLY REALLY BIG snake or Sabrecat. But that’s not as fun. So I’m going to go with a Wraith. What’s worse than a massive lizard monster? Oh, one that is also a terrifying ghost creature too. There’s really only one reason to mash these two up. Taking over the world. There aren’t actual Ghostbusters out there, so they can’t help, and because he’s part wraith, he can’t be killed. What a fantastic combo. (180)

You start with The Norfolk Seawolves. You add The Bondi Beach Buccaneers. You end up with The Norfolk Bay Seaterrors, also known as the Tasmanian Seadevils. This most unholy of unions also results in the creation of the mascot Dread Admiral Kidd, a fearsome commander of a large naval fleet that dominates the seven seas with an iron fist. Similarly the two teams being united into one super team would dominate the league with their combined might. I decided on these teams for a few reasons. First I chose Norfolk because "Norfolk Best Folk" and I'm currently on their roster. Second I chose Bondi Beach because they have a similar naval theme to the Norfolk Seawolves which leads to a fun combination of a pirate crew and an organized naval force. Additionally finding a place in Australia called Norfolk Bay really made everything click and having a name as cool as The Norfolk Bay Seaterrors really just seals the deal.

The first player that springs to mind is Puddles O’Duck. Everything about this guy just screams “monster”. Sure, there’s been moments where he’s thrown a pick or five in a game but overall, he’s a good dude and generally hands the ball off to the running backs really well. The problems only really arise when we ask him to throw it down the field. Somehow, this guy managed to get himself sacked almost 50 times last season. That’s an impressive feat in itself. Partly due to the durability required to keep getting up and partly because he just never seemed to figure out the concept of throwing it away. So, with that in mind, the only player that I would ever even consider mashing-up with him has to be the one and only Iman (Outlaw), because if he keeps getting sacked like this, he’s gonna need to be on good terms with whatever god will take him.

Looking at the mascots, one of the most overpowered abilites would be to fly. And considering I'm on the Minnesota Grey Ducks, it's an obvious idea to have our mascot be one of the parts. Since our ducks provide agility and movement, to balance the combination we would need power and force. This ultimately comes down to either the Kaiju or the Yeti. While at first I was leaning towards the Yeti, their fuzzy appearance just gives off more Big Friendly Giant vibes, as opposed to the Kaiju. A bit of Google searching convinced me that the Kaiju are overall more powerful, and they can also have special abilities. Thus, my final creation is a mix of a Grey Duck and a Kaiju. The final piece of evidence to convince me that Kaiju are a better fit is the fact that they come in all shapes and sizes. While a ducks wings would have great trouble in carrying a Yeti, Kaiju can be mid-sized or even miniature sized. Honestly, this mix would be terrifying to face, and would probably be breaking every penalty imaginable, but if we're just looking to make an overpowered creation this is my choice.
