The Kansas City Coyotes are in prime position to win the developmental league following the offseason. Leading the charge on offense is capped quarterback and future ISFL star Russell Jimmies. With a tremendous arm and being one of the most intelligent players in the league, it's no wonder why he's primed to take over the offensive player of the year storyline. The wide reciever core of Big Tractor and Derrick King Jr. are no joke either, outrunning the oppositions defence on many occasions in the past seasons. Defensively, the Coyotes seem primed to shut down the weak offenses with with standing players on defensive tackle, corner back, and young safetys that look to grow into a serious threat to balls floated over the top. This combination of threats is going to allow the Kansas City Coyotes to cruise to a championship, despite their week one loss to the vipers, I'm still optimistic about the season!

I've said it once and I'll say it again: NOLA is on a war path to an Ultimus. I really don't see who is beating them this year. All of their players are still at their peaks and getting better. They even made a really good FA signing with Defensive End Doctor Who. DE wasn't a huge need for now, but it was going to be as their stars age out. She will have a solid impact this year and grow into a bigger role as TPE is gained. NOLA had been chasing after whovian for a few seasons even trying to trade with Chicago, while ultimately being outbid by OCO. Some say that NOLA put in an insultingly low offer knowing they would eventually end up on their team due to relationships with other members on the team, but that only happens in Arizona, so nothing to see here. This was all above board and the addition of Doctor Who as well as the increase in attributes of all other players really makes this NOLA's to lose. Seriously, they have to win the Ultimus this season. A decade of building has lead to this moment.
Sarasota are currently 1-1 but I back them to get to the playoffs and compete for the division title due to one thing, elite LB play. Ignatious Cleetington is currently playing like one of the best LBs in the league to start out the season, with 3 sacks and 2 FF/FR's, including a strip sack fumble recovery TD for Cleetington. While they werent as heavily a backed a team as some Sarasota teams have been in the past due to a more lacklustre offence than has been seen in other seasons, the defence is going to be carry them this season with Cleetington at the heart of it. He can do it all with getting to the QB and defending passes and that sort of heart really brings out the best in players around you. Cleetington has the well favoured Max Honestly alongside him as well to help chip in with 4 more plays in the backfield and 2 more PDs so between them, anything is possible.
Through the first 2 games of the season, one would be hard pressed to find a team that has impressed the way the Chicago Butchers have. Jointly leading the ISFL in points for, they are also second only to the New Orleans Second Line in fewest points allowed. They have allowed 24 total points, and the team with the third most points allowed have allowed 38. Their defence was impressive last season, but it's the offense that has really taken a step forward from the season prior. I will attribute that success primarily to the rise of their offensive captain, Triceratop. Through 2 games, Triceratop has 239 yards from scrimmage and 4 total touchdowns. The running back also boasts a staggering 6.1 yards per carry. All of these are a massive improvement on S47, where Triceratop had 1406 yards 11 touchdowns, and a 4.4 yards per carry figure. On pace for 2,031.5 yards and 32 touchdowns, this is an electric player who is leading the way for Chicago to have the second best rushing attack in the ISFL, and will surely carry them to another NSFC victory.

Ok, well I sincerely hope people are submitting PT prompt ideas because this one is no fun, especially for recreate users who are trying to get back into things and don't want to spend an hour on the wiki. I guess I'll talk about New Orleans Second Line quarterback Octavian Speedings. He's one to keep an eye on for improvement this season because he is nearing the ever-important tpe peak as a quarterback, so in theory these should be his golden years. He did very well last season, but expect him to raise the bar a notch further this go around because he will be playing behind a fully human offensive line which is a true rarity now a days. This would be perfect if he were a mobile or scrambler quarterback as his name implied, but alas that is not the case. But it will signal a drop in pressures and sacks which is also great for a pocket passer like Speedings. Add in some elite offensive weapons like Crane, Mardukas, Breadbowl, and Passarelli - and don't forget a defense that excels in getting off the field quickly - and you can bet on Octavian Speedings having his best season yet.
While the last few seasons have had there fair share of "tanking", I expect that we start to see some positive results for the Honolulu Hahalua this season. After purposefully shedding talent and stocking up on draft picks, the Hahalua are a young team with a lot of active, high-earning players. The offense in particular should begin to score points in bunches in the season as they have a maxed out running back and an ascending quarterback. To top it off, many teams in the league have began to copy the Hahalua's tank job which should put Honolulu ahead of the curve and no longer behind in TPE every single game. With just two wins in both season 46 and season 47, Honolulu already has matched that win total after four games for season 48. I would expect this to continue throughout the season. I don't expect a playoff appearance or anything, but getting 6 or 7 wins and seeing a vast improvement in TPE by the end of the season should put Honolulu on a path towards success sooner rather than later.

I'm here for the hot takes. The group that will see the biggest swing is the Honolulu offense. My hot take is that they will continue to lead the league in scoring throughout the season. After the first two games they showed exactly what they can bring to the table with dynamic playmakers all over the field, led by Fig Newton. Now, I know I can't talk about myself, but everyone else get's inspired when they see that Newton Scootin. McRobinson is the second best running back in the league and the best passer in the league. With weapons like Brad Woof, Tyler Higbee, Reggie Battle, and Malik Brooks (who?) to throw to it's hard not to be the best passer. And let's not forget about Samuel L. Dackson in the backfield. He's sure to win best backup of the year running behind the big bruiser of a FB, Worsethan Blaze. Man, Honolulu ain't the only thing hot, this offense is fire!
Season 49 rookies are an entirely different class, they stand out amongst the greats. While most people choose to speak about others, in my humble opinion the most influential player entering the league is a cyborg kicker. Through his first few games including preseason, RUS-KCKR has shot to the top of the leaderboard for kickers and shows no signs of slowing down. Even though he’s not a max earner, he’s shown that his iron foot tears down any obstacle in his way. I predict that the Russian robot will lead the dsfl not only in highest completion and points, but will lead any team who drafted him in fantasy to a new level of domination. The Portland pythons and their ingenious methods of drafting will undoubtedly lead them back to a repeat of victory in the ultimini. Lead by our glorious leaders Jadda and Bam Bam (and secretly lead by yours truly behind the scenes) the pythons will prove to the league that we are the ultimate ultimini champions
