Written option: Once again, the offseason has come to a close and the race for a title is underway. Make the argument for how a specific player or team has improved since their last outing and stands to shine in Season 48, whether they are bound for an Ultimus, the Pro Bowl, or just a fun time. There is only one condition – you cannot write about your own player, your own team, or anyone on your team! S49 new create rookies do not need to follow this rule.
After back to back 2-14 seasons, the Honolulu Hahalua are looking to put their mark back on the league. The rebuild is starting to click into place and the proof of that is in the pudding. After 4 weeks of S48 football, the Hahalua are 2-2 already tying their win total from the previous two seasons. Those wins are outliers either, with a one score win (38-30) and a dominating game over the Copperheads (29-3) see solid wins with a ton of points being scored. Their first loss of the season (27-29) against the Silverbacks was a 1 point afair, but that does include a last minute TD scored by the Hahalua. In week 4 they lost (19-34) against a struggling Outlaws team, which also shows that the rebuild is still in the midst of happening. All in all the Hahaluas play and record so far shows that they can compete and will likely rack a couple more wins this season. I don't think they are playoff bound just yet, but a close sub .500 season should be in the cards for the Hahalua this season.
