Regarding a championship stadium, Tijuana and Zona hosting the Ultimus and Ultimini would be the obvious solution. We've seen our lower level alternate include home field advantage for the eventual Super Bowl champion Buccaneers by coincidence, while in our league the higher seed always has HFA. Therefore nothing will have to change for our championships games when Tijuana and Zona finish as #1 seed conference champions. This will also be more convenient for me, as it's a very short trip between playing in the Ultimus and watching the Ultimini in person. The Tijuana halftime show would have to be a wrestling match of course, though I'm not too sure how we'd connect it to Arizona for the Ultimus. Recognition of Tijuana's 8 (or in this case, soon to be 9) Championship victories is a must for the Ultimini, though I think it'd be best to Er on the side of caution and avoid mentioning certain Ultimus wins in Zona's past that are widely attributed to the team's multi-faceted offense. But in all seriousness, I'd be ecstatic if both of my teams made it the the championship this season, and between the two there are some excellent GFX makers on both teams that would be in their element with the stadium design.
The best city that could be chosen to host the Ultimus game this season would be the city that is the most exciting in the world, New York City!
The Silverbacks are a team that has worked hard to bring the sport of football to New York City and the fans are very loyal and passionate to their team so I think that it would be a great place for the game to be played! There is always a lot of attention from the media when anything happens in New York City and it would be a great fit for the event that is the biggest in sport every year! There is also so many hotels and places to stay for the fans who are going to travel to the city from other places to watch the game that I think that it makes so much sense! There is no city that could be a wrong choice to host the Ultimus because every team in the ISFL has so much support from the people who are their fans but it would make it so much more exciting to be able to have a great game played in the greatest city on Earth and I think that everyone would have a really good time there!
With the International Simulation Football League having so few teams, but yet having teams in further locals then the quite inferior National Football League, It would be very suiting for the league to select a host city that does not currently have a franchise, or even selecting one of the development teams as a host for a championship game.
By selecting a non-ISFL city to play host to the biggest game of the year, you ensure a neutral site for both teams to play in, which would eliminate any home field advantage and create a truly ultimate showdown of pure skill. The other advantage is showing off to these cities who may either be plagues with an unfortunate NFL team or they may not have a team at all, what you can do and what kind of experience you can bring to these cities if they were to ever make an attempt at acquiring a team through expansion or even have an owner of a current NFL team make the jump and bring their team up to the big league to see if their teams can hash it out with the best in the world. At the end of the day, the ISFL and DSFL have teams all over the world and the league’s popularity is only growing with numerous cities clamoring at the possibility of getting a franchise to call them home. I think for the International Simulation Football League to really stand out from the National Football League the championship game should be played with a home field advantage. Teams work hard all season to be the number one team come playoffs and in the championship game the highest seeded team should be rewarded with a home field advantage. If two number one seeds meet for the championship then the home team will be decided by margin of victory over common opponents, if somehow the margin matches then strength of schedule will be considered as well as points for and points against. Now if that still does not settle the debate then the league will just do a coin flip as both teams will have a 50/50 shot and nobody can really complain about that.
As for the halftime show I would pick the Foo Fighters to preform. The Foo Fighters are just one of those bands that most people seem to enjoy, they don't play super heavy or real laid back music so they would be able to put on a good show without losing peoples interest. As for the anthem before the game I am a big believer in second chances and think Fergie should be able to have another chance to sing. |
