Success in a sim league is about longevity and activity on an individual level. I think it’s fair to say that someone has a successful career if they stick with it and keep updating their player, maintain a spot on a team, and make it to regression and beyond. Football is too much of a team sport to assess your individual performance based on team championships. Great players go their whole careers without having team success in the playoffs and those players cannot be said to have had an unsuccessful career because they never won a championship. The same can be said for individual awards. In most cases, for a player to have an award winning season they need their team to be helping them achieve the individual statistical success necessary to win an award. The only thing a player can control is their TPE earning and their build, beyond that team building and strategy is out of their hands. For a GM, the argument is entirely different. For a GM to be successful, they need to close to winning or outright winning a championship to be able to say they were successful. That being said, maintaining an active locker room where people are enjoying themselves is a success in and of itself, especially on a down or rebuilding team.

Buat saya, sukses di liga ini adalah dimana ketika pemain saya bisa memenangkan sesuatu disini, mulai dari Ultimus bow, ultimini, ataupun memenangkan penghargaan individu. Bisa masuk kedalam pro-bowl juga menjadi salah satu kesuksesan menurut saya.
Untuk pemain pertama saya, Yuuto Kira Cloudera mungkin memang belum pernah menerima penghargaan individu, tetapi 2 cincin ultimus bowl bersama sanjose sabercats sangatlah berarti. Berawal dari pertukaran Kira dari Colorado Yeti ke Sanjose Sabercats, mungkin musim2 sebelumnya sanjose sabercats adalah salah satu tim papan bawah, musim pertama kira di sanjose sabercats juga tidak bisa membuat sanjose sabercats ke play-off. Tetapi sangatlah mengagetkan dimana 2 musim berturut-turut sanjose sabercats berhasil memenangkan ultimus bowl, dan yang membuat saya sangat bersemangat adalah sanjose sabercats 2 kali mengalahkan colorado yeti di ultimus bowl.

Sekarang setelah Yuuto Kira Cloudera pensiun, saya membuat pemain baru, Lalu Muhammad Zohri yang berposisi running back, dimana sekarang saya mencoba untuk mengejar penghargaan individu, dan juga mencoba untuk mengalahkan rekor di tiap tim yang Zohri akan bermain. Zohri sebagai running back mungkin akan lebih mudah untuk mendapatkan penghargaan individu dibandingkan Yuuto Kira Cloudera yang berposisi Defensive tackle. Tetapi selain penghargaan individu, tujuan saya membuat pemain baru adalah untuk memenangkan ultimini dimana saya belum pernah sama sekali memenangkannya sebelumnya ketika Yuuto Kira Cloudera membela Dallas Birddogs, perjalana Lalu Muhammad Zohri masih panjang, untuk sekarang Lalu Muhammad Zohri mencoba untuk bermain sebaik mungkin sambil menunggu draft, semoga lalu muhammad zohri bisa di draft lebih baik dari pada Yuuto Kira Cloudera Sebelumnya

A PT I'll approach out of character. I think success, for me anyway, is defined differently for a player and a user. A player, in my eyes, is pretty simple. It's championships, awards, records, and hall of fame. But if you dig deeper into the user and how they manage their player you can peel away their goals with the player, their reputation as a user, and their impact to the community. I've been a GM and involved in team planning in various leagues for years and it's no longer my intention to build stat hungry, championship and accolade chasing players. Success with my players is how versatile I can be for my team. Creating a player that has positional flexibility and the willingness to adapt to change are big factors in how I look at success. You might not get the fame and the glory as a player, but you're setting your team up for more success than if you're on a one-track mind. Being a user that people love and respect is probably the ultimate sign of success and impact in the sim community. There are those users that everyone knows and will fight over for their player in drafts, will move mountains to trade for, and feel a huge internal win if they're on their team. Leaving the community or leagues in a better place than when you came in is another factor in defining success.

Success is a locker room that accepts each other and cares for each other. It is one that shows positivity even in the face of losses or negativity. This league is really just a bunch of chat rooms. To have your locker rooms live and die by the sim is a sad state. Essentially, I don't measure success based on sim results. This is not a real professional league, and although it's a hobby that some of us invest quite a fair bit of time into, in the end where I, and I would wager the vast majority of the league, have had the most fun and received the most satisfaction through making friends and the fun interactions that happen in the various discord servers. I think this also involves users being willing to be themselves and bring some of their real life personality into the server. I don't expect anyone to do this, but if they're willing to share a bit about their real life, I cherish that and consider that a success of the locker room to make someone feel comfortable enough to do that. When I joined the league I was initially not willing to reveal anything that could possibly be identifying information, but over time I have gotten to trust some great people in the league, and I really feel that I have made some real life friends because of it.

What is the meaning of success in this league? Success is everything. It is what everyone strives for in this league. If you do not push for success at all, you do not belong in this football league at all. You have to be in a certain mindset to achieve success. There are many ways to achieve success as there are many ways to measure it as well. Each person in this league has their own definition of success. For example, if you were a general manager in this league, you can measure your own success with the number of team wins or number of trophies won. If you were a new player, maybe success is being to complete every point tasks possible in order to maximize your player's chance at being a great player. Mine would be for my player to be able to contribute to the Outlaws as much as possible. This would mean being a great wide receiver and empowering my quarterback by catching as many passes aimed at Taro and scoring as much touchdowns possible. Everyone in this league should have a guide on what their "success story" should be and try to aim for that as often as possible to make the most of this league.

What does success mean to Franklin Turtle? Franklin has always been one to emphasize the fun in the sport. For Franklin, football really is just a game. One that he happens to be incredibly good at. But nonetheless, just a game. As such, Franklin’s main priority is to have fun. When he plays football, it’s like he’s back at the park with all his friends, and life isn’t so complicated. Football is easy, it should be played for fun. That’s how Franklin defines success – by how much fun he is having.

His easy-going demeanor hasn’t always been the best received. Especially amongst rooms that define success by only certain measures. When the game got a lot more competitive, around the Collegiate level, people started getting upset with Franklin over his easy-going attitude. His teammates got upset when Franklin joked around, and made drills into fun games. Franklin eventually found out that it was because those people thought of football differently than Franklin did. For them, it was about more than having fun. And while Franklin could never understand why folks that were playing football, even though it wasn’t fun for them, he understood the importance of patience in times of distress.

Success can be defined in many different ways. As listed earlier some can be at it to be the best ever, or the best of a certain position, they can be a journeyman, an award hog, perennial all star candidate, traveler between many teams and so on. Ragnar wants to win a championship before his time is up. Getting into the dusk of his career the clock is running out, but he has set himself in a pretty good position this season after signing with Arizona this last off season.
After several solid attempts with Honalulu, Ragnar felt the writing was on the wall and that they would not be able to provide that shot again, so in search of that ring he took his things and hit the road. A championship would cap off the career as a success, and in the rare event 2 could be possible if the stars align then even better.
Things like the Pro Bowl isn’t a worry as Ragnar quite likes the time off, and would rather focus on winning that elusive finals.
Historically Ragnar knows that he will be remembered as a journeyman stable player, never the best in the position, but a solid addition to a championship team who helped them get that glory. Only time will tell…
