Success is definitely a combination of those listed elements. I would say that at the ISFL level, success is being a rather high TPE team that's a consistent playoff team and contender with an active LR. High TPE helps for sustained success rather than a lucky season or two, while playoff contention is the #1 indicator of playing well in my mind. However, having a great active LR is crucial here imo. It can't really be considered much of a success if the LR is dead and there's basically nobody to celebrate with. I've always placed a big focus on great LR environments, but in this scenario I think that winning on the field comes first. A great LR might be more important to me, but I'd still consider the statistically better team to be more successful than the one with a super active LR in most cases. Here it's a matter of how important one sees success as being. Bonus points go to teams that are able to produce plenty of award winning and record breaking players, teams that break records themselves, teams that manage to dominate in an area of management (ex. scouting/the draft, or recruiting free agents). Success is definitely objective, but a combination of wins and a team to celebrate them with is the simplest definition I can come up with.
