Through 10 weeks, a handful of defensive standouts have elevated them above the rest of the field to earn spots on this hypothetical team of the half-season. The first is undoubtedly LB Gary Goodman, who not only leads the league with 12 sacks but has also recorded 3 interceptions, the most of any linebacker in the league, as well as 3 forced fumbles. Another, and perhaps one of the most surprising stars that have emerged thus far, is rookie free safety Pasta the Turtle, whose 5 interceptions leads all positions despite (or perhaps because of?) the poor performances his Baltimore Hawks have put out on the field as they have struggled to a 2-8 record through 10 games. Finally, Sabercats CB Willie Miller is having what is undoubtedly a breakout season with 25 passes defensed and a staggering 4 interceptions. Congratulations to all of these players for their performances thus far, and it will be interesting to see if they can keep this momentum throughout the rest of the season or if others might emerge over the last few games.

Halfway through the ISFL season, we've seen a lot of great performances by players thus far, but here's one possible combination of players that I'd consider an ISFL "dream team".
Quarterback: Dexter Zaylren Running back: Goat Tank Running back: Zoe Watts Wide Receiver: Luke Quick Wide Receiver: Raphael Delacour Tight End: Mario Messi Left Tackle: Ananda Adyan Left Guard: Felix Archstone Center: Manhattan Project Right Guard: Bob Roberts Right Tackle: Stumpy Jones Some of these players, like Dexter Zaylren and Goat Tank, are absolute no brainers thanks to their record breaking pace that they've seen in this season thus far. Zaylren especially is the easiest decision to make on the team, as Laser is a stand up guy who would contribute massively to my hypothetical team's hypothetical locker room. Quick and Delacour both have a great mixture of yards and touchdowns, Messi is the best blocking TE in the league right now in addition to being not too shabby in the passing game, and I've got some excellent characters both on the field and off the field when it comes to my offensive line. Last and furthest from least is my RB2, Zoe Watts, who is the definition of great both on the field and in the locker room. This team is poised to compete with any defense without a doubt I impersonate a programmer for a living

The DSFL has enjoyed a lot of talent this season, let's look at an all-midseason team for the DSFL.
QB - Wendell Sailor Sailor holds the DSFLs top spot on the passer rating leaderboard. He is second in touchdowns and is tied for last in interceptions. Detractors of Sailor may point to his low volume, but low volume is the key to winning in the DSFL. RB - John Riggins Riggins has been huge for the Dallas Birddogs. He has the most touchdowns in the DSFL this season and is 3rd in yards while getting around 50 less carries than the top 2. His 4.3 YPC is not anything that jumps off the page, but it is higher than the top 2 yardage leaders. WR1 and WR2 - Escanor Sama and Malcador The Hero have both been absolutely electric this season, they both have high touchdown and yard counts. Sama himself accounts for half of his teams passing touchdowns, he is a superstar. Malcador The Hero is contributing to one of the best passing offenses in the league. TE - Anthony Macguire is 4th among tight ends in receiving yards and leads all tight ends in pancakes. His success in both the run game and the passing game makes him a force to be reckoned with.
Looking at the offensive side of the ball for the dsfl, it's hard to argue many Grey Ducks deserve to be on the best team at the halfway point of the season. Nonetheless, I'll still go homer and say that one of the rb spots should be filled up by Zohri. His runs are lethal and when he gets outside he breaks for 7 yards every time. It is clear, however, that Savage is having the best season at qb. Just second in passing yards but well in first for TDs with 18, he 100% makes this list/team.
Looking at wide outs, the Norfolk duo of Patey and The Hero take the cake. While only having modest yard totals so far, this is due to Norfolk needing to share the love. They are first and second in TDs scored and they just take your breath away as they run all over you. Norfolk is a dangerous team, and they are part of the reason why!! Can't wait to see the actual pro bowl rosters at the end of the season.
Halfway through the season, and we are looking at the best 11 in offence and defence. I will focus on the offensive side of the ball. Let's start of with the QB. Dexter Zaylren. 2 thrown interceptions. And he is the only QB with a QBR over 100. The running back is Goat Tank. He is a goat, he is a tank, and he eats yards and touchdowns. My wide receivers are Cmon Skiuuup because I am biased, Luke Quick, for having the highest yards per catch, and Tsuyu Asui, for being the league's rec TD leader. My tight end is Gronk Muerto. Most pancakes without allowing a sac among TEs. And let's wrap this up with the OL. Brucr Buckley and Ananda Adyan are my tackles. The most important OL position, and they got 200 combined pancakes (105 and 95). Felix Archstone and Bob Roberts get the guard assignments, while Manhattan Project wraps the line up at Center.
