Written option: With 7 weeks of games down, what sort of improvements/adjustments could your team be making in order to win across the rest of the stretch, or additionally what has been going right and what can you do to keep it going?
I think the biggest adjustment the Honolulu Hahalua is winning games they are suppost to instead of not winning them. The offense needs to work harder on blocking, rushing, receiver, fumbling less, making more yards and getting more touchdowns. Meanwhile the defense needs to tackle harder, create more fumbles, deflect and intercept more passes and get more sacks and safeties and maybe even a defensive touchdown or two. With these factors combined I bet the Hahalua's will start doing way better and can win al the games over the rest of the stretch and sneak into the playoffs and do a cheeky underdog win again. Hey I can dream oke. I do not know what we have done to offend the sim, but the sim is mad at us and does not want us to win games right now. So that is something we just have to get through right now. One day we will be back at it.
My best advice for the Berlin Fire Salamanders is to ride Goat Tank into the beautiful sunset. Nobody can stop that man. He is the GOAT and he his an absolute Tank. It's almost like he was named that way for a reason! Our passing game is good, but it is better when it comes out of our running success. We are not a Kansas City Chiefs team that passes in order to open up the run game. We are the Derrick Henry Tennessee Titans who needs to pound the rock until they cheat up and then take our shots deep. Cmon Skiuuup is still an elite deep threat and our up and coming receiver Abed is ready to make his own mark on the league. While it may be ugly and frustrating at times, the key to our success is to beat the crap out of the defense with Goat Tank and then take the top off when the time comes with our deep threats. Here's to many more wins ahead and a frickin' championship!!!
Surprisingly one of the biggest issues for the Yeti thus far has been a severe lack of offense in many of the games to this point. Part of that lack of offensive production has been very few explosive plays from a once incredibly dynamic passing attack. One possible cause for this lack of explosive plays, and by changing it a potential solution to increased productivity on the offensive side of the ball, is the drastically high rate of short completions, especially to players who are known deep threats. In particular, it seems as though Cole Maxwell is being horribly misused this season as his average catch has dropped a full 4 yards per reception from the previous year, including games with averages of 9.5 (W4), 7.7 (W5), 7 (W6), and 7.3 (W8) with the team going 1-3 in those weeks, the lone win being week 4 where the team only managed 20 points. When Cole is used as a deep threat and has an average over 10 yards per catch the team is 3-1, with the lone loss being to Baltimore in Week 2 where the Yeti still put up 31 points. Sometimes its as simple as let best players do the things they do best to get the best results
So, because of my time in college, I'm running the San Jose Marathon at the end of the season. I am still working with my college trainers and the training will be like what I did for the KCC coaches, but more so about stamina. My training plan is all heart-rate based. Some days I just do an easy 45 minutes. Other days I do high-intensity speed or hill work that gets my heart rate as high as it can go. The only high mileage I do is on weekends--I'm never out there jogging for the heck of it. My trainer also wants me to work on my speed, so I will be doing over-speed training as well.
After 6 games I've just started to get in a good TD stride, I feel like my hands are great, but this stamina training will help me get through the rest of the season with more TDs.
