Zayne Dangle | Wide Receiver | Berlin Fire Salamanders
As one of the GMs of the London Royals I'm gonna take a minute to shoutout our entire (new create sorry @slate and @abh89 ) draft class here because I really think we made out like bandits.
@Twenty6 has been nothing short of amazing in the locker room and has solidified himself as a captain of the team already @Alikh we got lucky that there was a huge run on safeties in the first round and he somehow was not one of them, a first round talent and personality landed right in our laps in the second round @yesboom somehow slipped all the way to the fourth round and has been earning extremely well. not to mention, his graphics are top notch and should allow him to max earn all the teeps! @Reedy0rNot is at 150 tpe already? and we got him in the 5th round? lfg!!! #BIGJOEFORCAPTAIN @gimme has been an awesome earner so far and I have no doubt he will keep that up @Thegreatbambino might be my favorite of this draft class. he specifically requested to play center so he can be the GOAT center. he has been extremely interested in the league in my DMs and I am confident that he will live up to these dreams of becoming the GOAT center. @Chrundle swapped over to the defensive side of the ball and has been an absolute menace at linebacker paired with yesboom. a beast of a player and a beast of a user. Finally, our waiver pickup, @Twinsfan87 ! Jeremy Crouse Jr walked into the london locker room day 1, and lets us know what was up! he drilled a 50 yard field goal in week 1 and didn't miss a single kick, probably being the reason we won that game. bang bang!!!
When looking at the most recent ISFL Draft class, there are going to be a few names that will be slated to appear in the rookie of the year voting at the end of the year. Staring with defense, we have the future goat, second round pick Ace McAlister, who as of week 4 already has an INT and a pick six in his true rookie season, which no other rookie CB has. As for other potential candidates, Art Deco is also making a strong case by also grabbing an INT so far. Looking over at the offensive side of the ball, Runningbacks Zane Cold and Kumquat Archipelago both have 3 rushing TDs to start off the year, while on the receiving options we have Billy Stinkwater on the Outlaws, who has already grabbed a rookie leading 4 TDs to start off the year, tied for second in the entire league. There are a lot of exciting rookies to be watching as the season unfolds.
With the ISFL draft having finished, here are my choices for the offensive and defensive rookies of the year:
Offense: For OROY, my selection is Berlin running back Rab Thecrab. With over 1,000 rushing yards in 2049, Thecrab became the first Pythons back to cross the 1,000-yard mark since The Stig 2 years ago. There are injury concerns for Rab, though. His legs were fresh when he emerged from the sea 24 years ago, but a whopping 971 carries in the last 4 seasons has surely taken a toll on his durability. Either way, he’s my pick for OROY. Defense: For my DROY pick, I’m going with Otters corner Ace McAlister. Orange County selected McAlister 2nd overall, and the team obviously expects big things from him. TPE-wise, McAlister enters the ISFL as one of the most pro-ready defenders of the class. An all-around athlete, he starred on both sides of the ball in high school before becoming a true defensive force in college. In his final season with the Cincinnati Bearcats, he allowed an outstanding no touchdowns in man coverage. It was no accident that McAlister was drafted 2nd overall and I expect Orange County’s secondary to be much improved this year with his addition. Total Words: 205 |
