(S36) PT 1 - Just a Prank Bro

It is a new season here in the ISFL. As a veteran of the league it is undoubtedly my responsibility to prank the rookies. I have decided along with the other team veterans we don't want to go to far but we can have some basic childish fun. The first prank will be to inform the rookies they are responsible for everyones gear bags. They must make sure they make it from the hotel to the field before every game. In reality we have filled separate bags with unnecessarily heavy items in order to make the supposed task more difficult for the rookies. The actual equipment bags will be transported by the training staff as usual but the rookies will not know this and stress out about making sure we all have equipment. Once at the field we will pretend we need the equipment and when they open them they will find the other items. We will then let them know of the prank. This seems funny but not harmful and a good way to build team spirit.

Yeah you know pranking rookies is fun and all but that's amateur hour. You wanna know what really gets my gears turning? Making a teammate think that you're pranking rookies and turning it on them! Now, who should my victim be? Ooh, I know! Anton Bruckner got an interception last week and thinks he's hot shit. Let's remind him that he's no Bender. So I told him that when rookie Leandre Diarra gets a huge pancake, we should run out on the field and give him a plate of pancakes. But instead of handing it to him, we'll smash it in his face! It will be so funny and embarrassing ha ha ha. So the next game, we run out there as planned. Right before Anton smashes the pancakes, I grab his arm and shove it in his own face! As he's staring at me in shock, I smash my plate of pancakes in his face. And then I pants him! Then I kick him in the nuts. And as he's lying on the ground writhing in shock and pain, I light a cigar and blow the smoke in his face. Best part is that the refs called a penalty on Anton for delay of game. Ha ha sucker

So it’s the first day for the new Baltimore Hawks, we like to call them hawklets. So natural as you have said they need to be welcomed in the proper manor through a series of pranks.

A great easy prank that is played ok the newbies is to fill there shoes up with a stick type of foam, I can’t quite remember the name of it. However this foam is particularly stick and isn’t easy to remove from your shoes and socks once done. 
Another classic prank that’s is done is the age old swappero with equipment or kit. Swapping kit for either a smaller version or a massive equivalent of the item if clouthing.  

Abonother prank that’s is played is playbook related, as you know the playbook is the life of any football player but particularly rookies, however what can be easily done is from time to time swap the odd page out throughout the season, with irrelevant pages.

There is a tradition amongst veterans that when the rookies receive their first payday of their rookie deals the entire team goes out to eat and they leave the rookies with the bill. Mandrews worked to end this practice on the Kansas City Coyotes so when the S37 rookie class met the squad for the first time and the team went out for a celebratory dinner Mandrews McHollywood, Austin Morley, Fred Edison, Octavio Perez, J.T Kurbis, Zaphod Beeblebrox, Justin Cloud, Jean-Ralphio Saperstein, Smitty Oom, Jair Pharoah, Tyrod Iverson, Jahiem Lopez-Mason, Mogus Sus, Dick Flowers, and Anderson Duncan of the S36 class paid the bill. The expectation is that the S37 class will cover for the S38 class and so on and so forth.
It’s not as though there is no room for fun in the locker room, the normal pranks of humiliating talent shows and general hijinks still go on, but the importance of economic intelligence is an important lesson for every professional to learn.
