Choose a team or player to write about that isn’t your own. What did they do well in the last season? Have they shown any drastic improvements from previous years? What could they do better?

In this piece ill be talking in detail about a player who I honestly think should win a award. This award is Defensive Player Of The Year. Who I think will win it? None other than Honolulu Halalua legend and pass rush specialist Big Slammu, now I know some of you are thinking this is biased- because he is my brother- but no, he has a great case for Defensive Player Of The Year and has had a late career resurgence, starting the year with monster numbers before inevitably slowing down towards the latter part, but make no mistake he was a key contributer to his teams close win in the ultimus championship who go back to back. There's no doubt in my mind he should be the front runner for this award. Now, finally, let's get into the reasons.
The Stats:
Big Slammu finished with a career high 130 tackles, which was good enough for 2nd among all defenders and only 4 short of #1.
He finished #1 in TFLs with a career high 17 by a MILE
He finished tied for 3rd in forced fumbles with 5.
and lastly, the pass rush specialist exploded for a league-high TWENTY sacks in 16 games. the next best finished with 15.
and that's why I think he should win Defensive Player Of The Year
Now on to areas he needs to improve in, to me its pretty obvious it gotta be pass coverage because he is a Linebacker. Big Slammu almost nevers drops back in coverage and should honesty move to full time Defensive End. not like theres anything wrong with that, the best defensive player in nfl history Lawrence Taylor also didn't drop back in coverage much.
