For Creg Jerrith IV's offseason, he is supremely built different. For breakfast, lunch, and dinner he only eats Chilis. Now, this is no small feat accomplished by a mere mortal. When Cregory dines at Chilis, he dines. Four burgers with orders of Mozzerella Blocks and strawberry lemonades for breakfast. A beautiful steak for lunch, and four pounds of rice for dinner. This is not the only way Creg achieves his immaculate form. For his workouts, Creg only uses infomercial products. Shakeweight, At-Home Pullup bar, and way more. He is able to perform in his home while he watches the office. Cregory does not even consider throwing until the wee hours of the night where he goes into his back yard and plays fetch with his pet alpaca. The alpaca has quite the arm, but he is also very accurate. Cregort aspires to throw as well as his alpaca one day. What a time to be alive to witness Jerrith's offseason.
Donovan Winters was in a unique position preparing for his first season in the developmental simulation football league. Having seen that there was no chance he could play at QB as a waiver pickup, he got fat and attempted to play offensive line, albeit poorly. When last season ended, Donny was faced with a new and unique problem: he had to loose all that newfound weight and get ready to become the field general quarterback he was meant to be.
He started every day with a five mile run at dawn, enjoying the beautiful Tempe, Arizona skyline each morning. He would then study tape to prepare for the DSFL draft for a few hours most mornings. In the early afternoon, he would hit the gym to get his strength up. After that he would throw the ol' pigskin around with his best friend Sherwin Blue Jr, and a few other members of the Arizona Outlaws. After that he would meet with his personal trainer, Chuck Roth, who would then school him on the importance of good BBQ, patience, and grit.
A typical offseason for a player includes working out, watching film, and other stuff that typical stuff. What is Fred Edison doing? The answer: none of that. Fred Edison is not a typical player, so he does things that aren't typical. Fred Edison takes his time getting endorsement deals and doing eating competitions, usually at the same time. Fred Edison loves eating competitions, and he loves winning, and he loves eating cereal (read his wiki if you don't believe me) so what's more perfect for him than to win a cereal eating competition? The answer: nothing. However, Fred wasn't always like this, he previously used to do normal stuff like work out and study plays and practice, he obviously has changed and no longer has any interest in that type of stuff anymore. What made him change? The answer: reading the memoirs of the infamous, and also infamously crazy and abnormal, Tom Cruise. After reading such literature, Edison has since abandoned doing anything normal. For example, he wears shoes on the wrong feet and gloves inside out.
You know, it can be hard to remain in shape during the offeason, even when you play in a few extra games as part of a (hopefully deep) playoff run. The first instinct is to take a step back, let the batteries refresh, and take your foot off the gas pedal. This is a mistake because the more you relax the harder it is to get going again. One of Newton's Laws I believe. So during the offseason, Absolute Unit takes time to rest his body but his mind is always going. Looking at game tape, studying what sort of snacks to eat during the season. All the critical components to make for a successful year. Then once he is refreshed and mostly reset, its time to dive back in. I'm talking chicken, steak, barbeque, gluten-free pasta, the works. Its imperative that the mass is properly cultivated prior to the start of the season.

My player has maintained shape over the off-season because he is always practicing. He knows there is always an aspect of his game that he can get better in. Last year he was a little upset with his TFL totals. So over the off-season he worked on his speed and strength to be able to beat the o-lineman and get behind the line of scrimmage for a big loss. Another thing he wanted to work on was his hands. I know for a pass rushing LB that sounds weird, but being able to get an INT or two would be huge in certain situations. I think an obvious thing for him was his leadership. Last year KCC lost one of their most notable captains and Caleb is going to have to step it up this year and fill that role. Whatever it may be, this is how Caleb Hayden stayed in shape during the off-season.

My player being a space WR does a lot of different activites to keep in shape and continue to be better through each passing season. Through his experiences on earth, he has learned a lot of popular drills like using the JUGS machine with footballs to work on his catching, working on his footwork and route running, and studying the playbook to learn more route trees. Also working on his blocking as well. But to really help himself progress through all of this, instead of doing all of these drills on earth like most normal football players, he decides to take his ship back up to space and work on these drills on another planet with much higher gravity than Earth has. That was every move and drill he does is much harder to do and slower because of gravity pushing on him more. This way, when he goes back to earth during the season, everything will feel much lighter and easier to do, which should therefore make him a better player overall.
