Valentine’s Day is the unofficial day of love, and it’s a great Segway towards looking at the love of football. Especially with the Super Bowl ending the traditional season in the real world, the affection (and maybe the obsession) lives within the sim league.
What do I love about the league in general? I think my favorite activity is hanging out in the team locker room during simulation day. The roar of the players, the hilarious slowpoke responses from people not caught up on the live stream, the ridiculous swings throughout the fourth quarter of every single game. It honestly feels like the sim engine is just teasing all of us by keeping a team up and giving them some devastating combination of plays in the last 8 minutes to get destroyed. Or maybe that’s just my experience the last 2 or 3 seasons with the Otters.
In the end the team cheering together makes this league great, and a place I want to hang out in multiple times a week.
