With this rare opportunity to mash up two mascots to create the ultimate team companion, I can think of no better combination than melding the Sailfish of Sarasota with the Kaiju from Osaka. The mythical monster brings size, strength, and a general aura of terror to the equation. What could the Sailfish possibly add to this fantastic fauna? I'll tell you - speed. Did you know the Sailfish can move up to 68 miles per hour in the water? Now you do. It's the second fastest creature in the ocean, outstripped only by its cousin the Black Marlin. With the lithe muscle and speed of a sailfish combined with the raw power of the kaiju, this creature would be unstoppable. And surely a football team cheered on by such a mascot would be similarly unbeatable and race to an Ultimus unmatched.

Plus, to scale up to the size of a kaiju, the sailfish's rostrum would have to be hundreds of meters long. And who wouldn't love a giant rostrum on their mascot? Well, probably a lot of people come to think of it. Maybe we leave that part untouched just for the sake of decorum.

I think that the two best mascots to mash up would be the grey ducks and the kaiju. However, what would happen i probably just that the grey duck becomes a kaiju sized duck, which I think would be really funny. I am a big fan of ducks but they are kind of stupid, so it would be scary since there would be a huge duck just stomping around and destroying everything without actually even realizing that they are destroying anything. If you really think about it, a monster sized duck is scarier than a monster sized monster since it is more unexpected and you don't really know if you are allowed to kill it. Finally, it would also be fun because ducks can fly, so the new kaiju sized duck would still be able to fly around and destroy different cities if it gets cold. Because of this, I think that this would be the best combination.

I would enjoy winning a lot, again, after my ultimini that i spotlighted for. As such I would combine the Kansas City Coyotes roster with the London Royals.

Why the Royals, instead of a team with more wins like the Pythons or the Birddogs? Because of their offense! They have the second highest scoring offense, behind first place by only 8 points. That kind of offense can pair with the current Coyote defense to really make the ultimate combination.

All the playmakers on offense between the two teams will be a truly dominant force. Now, Kansas City and London on their own do not have amazing defenses - Coyotes are middle-ish in the pack while the Royals are dead last. But combined? Combined they could become a strong unit, piecing together the best bits. The Coyotes have the 2nd most sacks in the DSFL, and the most Forced Fumbles - representing the strength of the defensive line and linebackers. London has the most pass deflections, showing how their corners can really step up. So combine those two units and you're looking at a very very strong defense throughout the starting 11.

Looking at this assignment, I thought about the standings and to me, the craziest was to mash-up the Northern DSFL Conference first placed Portland Pythons, with the last placed Southern DSFL Conference Tijuana Luchadores. Mash-up their mascots. My idea was to have WWE-style wrestling snakes. Create a Mascot in full Mexican wrestling attire, mask and all, with some arms and hands, but no legs, just the snake body.

You could go further and all the players from the team would have snake-wrestling nicknames in a pun-like way. Just some examples out the top of my head: Big Boa Constructor, Jake the Slitherin, Cobra Clutcher, The Fangtastic Phenomenon, Andre the Sssssmasher, Rattler Rampage, Serpentine Slammer, Hiss-terical Clown Posse, The Venom Express, etc. Im not going to assign names to people, as I don’t know people well enough, but you could assign names like Big Boa Constructor to a Defensive Tackle or Offensive Line, The Fangstastic Phenomenon to a Wide Receiver or a Cornerback, Andre The Ssssmasher to a Defensive End, and The Venom Express to a big running back.
