When looking for a new face to put at the vanguard of his productions, renowned director of cult movies, Tobias Akinbobo, likes looking at athletes. With his most common collaborator Babatunde Warrington firmly entrenched as a notable talent in the film world, it was time to find the next new up-and-coming athlete to transition to up-and-coming actor, and Akinbobo settled for someone he knows well. Someone he has already worked with on film projects. Someone who also happens to be his business partner's son, but that's neither here nor there.
Raphael Delacour's directorial debut saw him earn plaudits at the Maryland Film Festival in 2037, while he was still a teenager. Since then, he has made some contributions to Akinbobo movies such as his writer credit on the long-awaited third instalment of the Faster Faster Angry Angry series; Faster Faster Angry Angry 3: Palaver in Kampala, in which he also has a small part as a mechanic. Akinbobo has now offered to make Delacour a co-producer -- as well as casting him in one of the lead roles -- for his next ambitious movie franchise idea, styled after the cult classic Outlaw Killer movies: The Abominables.
Plot details are sparse at the moment, but it is believed that the franchise will centre on a professional football franchise based in the mountains, with the players possessing mysterious superpowers. Rumours are swirling that Delacour will feature as Balin, and possess some control over rocks, while various sources have suggested that other ISFL players contracted to the Colorado Yeti may also feature.
