My two players have not had overly successful careers and thus my favorite moment is one of on the field performance, but rather fun moments in the locker room. Frequently, Zach Crossley, my first player, would break off a massive catch only to get caught inside the five yard line. This led to Crossley receiving the "loving nickname" GetCaughtsley. There are times when it felt like Crossley was brought down inside the 5 every single game for a 5-game stretch. And each time there would be Pvt. Penne ready to call out another GetCaughtsly. Even though Crossley retired almost a decade ago in sim years, the San Jose locker room still uses getcaughtsly to poke fun at those that are stopped just short of the goal line during a game. While it may seem like such a negative, this is my favorite moment in my careers because in some ways it has immortalized what would have been another generic player in the sim.

A lot of my favorite memories come from my first player, Jimi DeSoto. I think everyone's first player is a magical experience. Being scouted for the first time and being drafted is exciting. It's still exciting, but it's just different now. My first locker room experience in Norfolk felt like a family during COVID. I still think about and miss those users to this day. Some of them are still around, while others are long gone. Even not writing this, it makes me a bit sad. My next great experience was being a part of the rebuild of the Philly Liberty. We had championship aspirations, but in the end we didn't get too far. However, meeting all the people that I met and working so hard together is something that I miss greatly. We really built up Philly into a community, and the seeds that we planted still live on in Cape Town. A lot of the users that fell in love with the Liberty helped to win Cape Town's Ultimus, and that made me very proud. Having fun in this league shouldn't be about winning, it should be about the people.
