Ramero has and always will have roots in the popular sport (especially in south america) of wrestling. In high school, Rickey competed with his (american) high school wrestling team and was a city champion three seasons in a row, boasting a prominent high school career highlighted by his two time state runner up title. Ramero had all the potential to be a professional wrestler, but his dream was to play in the NSFL so that career was cut short. Instead, wrestling acted as a kind of off season training for the young and upcoming football star and allowed him to let his mind escape the game for a little bit.
Ramero was known for being especially powerful once he got his opponents down low, but had a weakness in the upper arms when standing. Most of Ramero's losses came at the hands of strong grabs and grapples, while his wins consisted of mostly locks and extreme pressure once he got his opponent down onto the mat. This was the origin of Ramero's long established nickname as 'Anticristo', a fact that many people had previously assumed was related to football during his time in school. The more you know I guess.
