Chad grew up in New York with his brothers. Something a lot of people don't know is that New York is actually a huge hotbed for inline hockey. Some of the best inline hockey players in the world have come from Long Island. Chad's real passion has actually always been inline hockey, but 6'4" and 255 lbs isn't exactly the right kind of build for an effective inline hockey player. He was also way more worried about being able to stay with his brothers than he ever was about really pursuing this dream, so he stuck with football.
If he could choose what sort of body type he had, Chad would choose to keep the height, but shed a couple of those pounds. He would've played inline hockey throughout his entire youth and into college for Syracuse University, and it seems like they really could've used him this season. But now it seems more likely that when he retires from football, Chad will hang up the cleats and open his own rink in New York, maybe coach the Syracuse Orange and try to lead them to a national championship. He has a while to decide what he'll do, but for now he'll focus on his football career.
