Danny Grithead was very nervous on draft day oh yes he really was very nervous on draft day because he did not know where he would be going. In the DSFL Draft, Danny Grithead was a steal in the 5th round by the Kansas City Coyotes because all of the scouts doubted Grithead. They all looked down upon him because he did not have the size like the other players but he was far more gritty and also more tough and had lower pad level than other players so he overcame the odds to become the starter in Kansas City and be their star running back. In the NSFL, Grithead converted his position over to safety to be more of an asset to his team. The Orange County Otters have a rich history of success at safety, from Hall of Famer Ian Bavitz to current star Jaylon Broxton. The Otters' safety legends reached out to Grithead prior to the draft to give him some tips on how to play the position. So actually it was no surprise that with the number six pick of the NSFL Draft, the Orange County Otters selected Danny Grithead to be the next great Otters safety, to take up the mantle and try to win some more Ultimi for the great dynasty.
