After ending season 18 on a sour note, with a devastating 31 to 0 loss to the Baltimore Hawks, the Yeti players took a well deserved break from each other to clear their heads and prepare for the next season. Louisiana Purchase spent the offseason fishing in Wyoming. Mo Berry claims he went to wrestle bears. James Bishop apparently spent most of his time still at the Yeti practice facility and in the film room. Pete Parker returned to his home town of New York City, to "get back to web slinging", whatever that means.
However, as they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder, so it wasn't long before the team began to look forward to returning to the field. Especially once free agency rumors began to swirl and the first domino fell, the signing of star running back Ashley Owens, the Yeti took the opportunity to welcome their newest teammate. Wolfie McDummy rented a mansion in Aspen (he can afford it) and took out the who team on a ski trip. Upon return, even more news broke with the signing of Alex Hornbacher. Not wanting to leave Hornbacher out of the festivities, the team had one more big get together, a huge feast put together by Bubba Thumper. Afterwords, Thumper commented "Huh? No, that was a normal amount of food for me."
