Last season was a tough one for the Liberty. We finished the season near last place, and and for a group of players used to competing for Ultimuses, this was not easy to swallow, even if expectations were low going into the season. In order to try to forget what happened last year, the team took a number of measures. First, the group of players drafted in S18 would need to be integrated into the team, as almost all of them were called up from the DSFL. This involved a number of teambuilding outings. Several of the new players felt they did not fit in with the group of more established players like Emoji, D'Attoria, Lennox, and Varga, to name a few. In order to fix this problem, the 2nd year players went head to head with the older gang in a series of challenges designed to test their individual skills as well as how well they work together. This included complex games like Connect 4, Tic Tac Toe, and culminated in a game of round robin checkers. The challenges were rumored to be a great hit, and everyone seems to have forgotten last season's disaster. The memory wipe of each player on the team could have also contributed to this, but there's not way to know for sure.
