Star running back Ashley Owens did a lot of team-bonding this offseason. After a tumultuous free agency in which Ashley Owens left the team - the Austin Copperheads - that drafted him first overall out of the DSFL just 2 seasons prior following a disappointing sophomore campaign, the Wisconsin native signed with a team much closer to home: the Colorado Yeti. During his visits with the team, he very much clicked with the players on the roster. However, Colorado wasn't even the only team wary that if Owens wouldn't play three years with the team that drafted him, would he anywhere else? (Yes) So, this offseason naturally was spent with Owens spending tons of times with players on the team, really making him a part of the Colorado Yeti family. The running back spent a lot Colorado's cool spring days with Wolfie McDummy, doing everything from endless practice of wheel routes, to taking McDummy on trips to Wisconsin to get some true Wisconsin cheese curds (a $14 million / 3 year contract pays for a lot). Of course, Ashley also got to know fellow RB Michael Vincent, young CB Louisiana Purchase, star receiver Lazlo Fourty-Two, and many more. At this point, Owens has left his past behind him and is all in with the Colorado Yeti.
