The day I got drafted by Minnesota I immediately hopped on a plane to go meet up with my new teammates. We did what every football team loves to do.. EAT. What a meal that was. It was the best steak I have ever had in my life. After going out to eat with everyone we all turned in early to get ready for our first day of training. I could barely sleep I was so excited. I spent that night and many others face-timing my brothers Tanner and Trey. They were so excited for me and we already planned a weekend for them to come visit and see what Minnesota is all about. Training went really well and I felt like our team really became a family. We had a lot of team bonding activities scheduled but my favorite was the ropes course. Nothing gains trust like climbing a huge wooden post, standing on a two foot long board and jumping off of it to grab a bar with one of your teammates. We also had plenty of game nights and of course lots of meals together. Towards the end of the off season my brothers came to visit! I showed them around town and took them to the best restaurants. We played some ball just like the old days and they even got to watch one of our practices. Having them around helped me get out of my comfort zone and open up to everyone on my team. It was the best way to end the off season.
