Last season ended with a bittersweet defeat for the Outlaws in the ASFC championship against the Otters, who then went and won another Ultimus. So with this performance in mind, offseason has been about one goal: what can change in the case of team strategy as well as individual capabilities that would allow Arizona to get in another Ultimus game. First step for cornerback Lucas Knight was to undergo a tough offseason training; this included a study of last season film for two weeks, to identify what should be improved in terms of technique and communication within the defensive backs. Then it came the afternoon sessions in the stadium going through several defensive back drills; this time he asked his teammates WRs Oles, Donut and Landers for some help to do some of the drills and conditioning together and get better as a group. There was also one or two practices with fellow cornerback Montgomery and safeties McKinnie and Barnes, which allowed the DBs to continue to refine communication and distribution of roles. As for the entire team maintaining its chemistry, there was one small party in QB Reese house just a few days after the end of the season; it was a good time to shake off some tension gained from the season results and to celebrate all the awards that some of the players got, as well as think about how things will look better for season 19.
