This offseason was a very fun one for Blake Faux. After getting traded from Chicago to Austin and then from Austin to New Orleans in the span of about a week it definitely took him a long time to settle in. So much so that he refused to move to New Orleans until his first season with the team ended. Even after signing a 3 year extension with the team with a select no trade clause, he continued to expect to be traded as the season wore on. Luckily New Orleans has seemed to commit to Faux, and he has done the same by buying a house just outside the city. So now Faux feels like New Orleans is his home, and not just his place of occupation. Unfortunately the first few games haven't gone so well for him, but as a defensive lineman his presence is felt on the field more than it is on the stat sheet.
Another big reason Faux had a fun offseason was his friend Mack Arianlacher joining New Orleans via the draft. It was an unlikely pairing at first, but Arianlacher approached Faux before he joined the DSFL and asked for advice, which Faux gave freely. Now they're good friends and expect to play on the same team with each other for a very long time to come.
