The realism of the locations isn't the problem with most expansion bids imo -- that's actually a positive; unconventional locations are cool, and realism has never really been a big deal in sim leagues if we're being honest -- I'd say it's more that the branding ideas are often kinda... meh *shrug*
But that's always a personal taste thing. It's not a big deal.
I came up with like... 20 different ideas for sports teams (with some suggestions and assistance from teammates) and I'm sure some people would hate some of them. It's whatever, though. Unless the branding is absolutely horrible, I can't imagine someone would flat out refuse to play for a team based on its name/location/branding.
Shit, in season one, I would have told you the team in this league I least wanted to play for was the Baltimore Hawks. Didn't matter in the end.
