This season I’ve been called up to the big leagues, and I’m a member of the Chicago Butchers. After a 1-12 season, most people probably think that we may be in a pretty bad spot. This thought is exacerbated by the fact that we didn’t have our first round pick last season, which was the #1 overall pick. However, we’re in a better position than most people realize. We aren’t exactly in title contention yet, but we definitely expect to see some progress compared to last season. We’ve got a really young team, and a ton of active players. I actually checked during the postseason, and we were tied for the most players updated during one specific week. I think that Sean O’Leary may be poised for a breakout year, considering that he won’t be playing with a 50 TPE quarterback, like he did for the last several weeks of last season, after our trade of Rose Jenkins. Who knows, maybe we could surprise everyone (including ourselves) and make the playoffs. Even if we don’t have a Cinderella year, I think that we will be ready for playoff contention within a season or two, which most people probably don’t realize. It’s a really exciting team to be a part of!
