If you'd asked me to write a PT about the chances of the Sarasota Sailfish making the playoffs six weeks ago, the answer I'd have given would have been incredibly difficult. The start to the season we had was pretty horrible, going 2-5 through the first 7 games of the season and losing every single road game we played to really get ourselves into a bit of a mess. Winning the last six games we've played has however given me a bit more hope about what we're capable of, and we're now at a point where I'm pretty comfortable in saying that we should be a playoff team to end the season. The key is going to be finishing strong, as although we've managed to claw our way up to second in the conference we aren't very far ahead of both the Baltimore Hawks and the Chicago Butchers. We coincidentally have to go on the road and face both of these teams in our last stretch of games, so I think winning both of those is going to be probably the biggest thing that determines whether we can be a playoff team. I'm hoping that from here, a run to the Ultimus is on the cards and the team's going to be able to get over the hump after falling short the last few seasons.
