This off-season was a pretty big change for Devonte Crook as he went from a small dorm room in the frozen tundra of Ann Arbor, Michigan to the sandy beaches of Tijuana, Mexico. As someone whose spent the majority of his life in the midwest, the weather has been a bit of a challenge for Crook to get use to but being able to visit the beach everyday after training camp is fun. The language barrier is a bit difficult to deal with but the team's got him an interpreter named Alejandro Garcia. Garcia was a former Goal Keeper for Fútbol Club Juárez in Liga MX. He actually was a member of the Mexican National Team for a few years before he retired and was hired by the Luchadores as a Player's assistant. Crook currently rents a small apartment in Cerro Colorad on top of a large hill. His house is quite old so it has it's own architectural charm. When it comes to the season, Crook doesn't know what to expect since his first season in the league. He knows that going to be a huge transation from College to Professional Football but he hopes that if he works hard enough in training camp and follows his coaches orders that he can turn himself into a Pro Bowl calliber play. He's sure of himself, he belives that he has all the physical tools to be a great a Luchador. It's just about his performance on the field.
