The San Jose Sabercats brought in prized running back Jack Durden in an offseason trade with the Arizona Outlaws. Durden will be receiving a lot of carries, which is certainly justified - he has performed quite well in the league so far.
The running back situation begins with Jack Durden, but certainly doesn't end there.
Denzel Diaz and John Goose, two Season 2 rookies are looking to make their marks on the league, and should have ample room to do so with the San Jose Sabercats. The eighth round pick acquired from Vegas for the rights to the soon-retiring Vick Bowers Jr. was used to selected Diaz, who, if all goes as planned, will surpass VBJ by far in his career. He is small, quick, and can catch a bit as well, making him a dynamic threat on offense. John Goose was less highly touted coming in, but hopefully the 'Cats can get substantial value for him too. Those two will be splitting some reps in the early go of it, until one shows more potential somewhere else maybe, as Durden is still the #1 guy.
With all these potential breakout stars, the San Jose Sabercats will have a completely revamped rushing attack, certainly for the better.
