Paul DiMirio is on the cusp of greatness. As the #2 target on the Philly Liberty, he gets a lot of the short pass work and that could lead to a lot of touchdowns this season. With Fox putting up a lot of yards in the preseason, there should be a lot of scoring opportunities and as Jameis's favorite target, Paul should be able to capitalize on that. Paul is a good receiver, but he’s thrown a couple useful blocks as well. With a new offensive line, he’ll be out on the field in both roles very often. By season's end, we could see him assume the mantle of #1 tight end, dethroning Maddox and keeping George Wright Jr. and Break Bottles in the rear view mirror.
Not only is Paul primed for a breakout season, reports from his teammates indicate he's a leader in the locker room. As one of the rookies who played in S1 prospect games, he's had more time on the field than most of the newer players in Philly and it shows in both his character and on the field. Philly was lucky to draft him in the late third round, and it can only pay dividends in the future.
