When it came to season one there were few bigger letdowns than former Yellowknife Wraiths Co-GM and now Las Vegas Legion Head General Manager, Tyler Varga. A player of immense physical talent and football knowledge, Varga played left defensive end on the strongest defensive front in the league, despite 6 sacks and 11 tackles for loss, he was easily the biggest disappointment on that line. Trent Bender slacked off an entire season but steamrolled into double digits for sacks despite playing backup minutes in the last four games. Mark Ramrio was in my opinion, the league's top defensive tackle and Jason Spearhead had his brother's death which occupied a majority of his free time but still managed to be productive enough to make the pro bowl. Varga realized that he probably wasn't fit out to play defensive line, so he switched to linebacker, a far more in demand position for his squad. The transition seemed seamless and we look forward to seeing the havoc the former NFL prospect can unleash on this league from the MAC spot. Hopefully he'll bring consistency to what is, arguably, the most important defensive position in the game today and hold down the line for as long as his body allows him.
