Holy smokes Colt Mendoza is finally good. I've waited like six (?) seasons for this. He sucked in the DSFL, he was fairly neutral in his first few seasons in the ISFL, but for some godforsaken reason he's now like broken out and is one of the top corners in the league. I have no earthly idea whether its because of the new sim or because he got a change of scenery or what but he's got a legitimate shot at corner of the year. Andrew Witten and Desmond Scarlett are also probably in that conversation. Witten's tied with Mendoza in picks but has a handful less PDs. He makes up for that with more forced fumbles and tackles, however. All going to depend on what the voters prioritize there - assume the gaps in the stats stay the same. Scarlett leads the league with some ridiculous amount of PDs and has a handful more tackles but is fairly far behind in interceptions - I think he's three behind Mendoza and Witten. Again, it should all depend on what voters prioritize assuming the gap stays like it is. Historically a 3 interception gap should make up for a 5-8 PD gap but you never know. I typically don't weight tackles particularly highly when I'm voting for corners. Like they're cool but there is an argument that it just means you gave up more catches and had to tackle the guy instead of forcing an incompletion.
