Chuggs was on a roller-coaster when it comes to drafting. He joined the DSFL fairly late, and didn't get the same head start on training as others did. As such, he lost out on a lot of points that could've been crucial to his success. While some people had him going in the top 2 rounds, he actually ended up going in the fourth round to New York, but in his eyes, this was a blessing. On draft day after being chosen he had this to say "honestly, I had so many interviews that I thought went amazing. People knew what I was all about, they knew what they were going to be getting out of me as a player, I was very transparent, I was very open and I wanted them to know how committed I was, yet the further I fell, the more I knew those interviews were all bullshit. None of the GM's clearly caught on to what they were passing up on, but that's their problem now...not mine". Chuggs went on to beast it in his first game on Norfolk and he looks forward to the future where he gets to eventually become a Silverback and prove those other GM's that they didn't know what they were doing letting him fall. Will he actually become the next big deal? Or will he flop early on? Watch the NY games to find out I suppose, but I can guarantee you, it'll be the first option, there is no other options in his mind.
