I have always wondered what would have happened if I had kept my cool back when I was the Portland Pythons co-GM, which in turn would mean I would have the job for longer. At that moment, the team had managed to turn around a season where everything went wrong, finishing dead last in the league with a 2-12 record, to a 8-6 season and a playoff berth. Despite the Conference Championship loss, the team was on the right path. The locker room was booming, the players were actively earning, and the future was looking bright, save for some callups you can never predict. I think the team would have won the Ultimini at least once. I mean, we had finished 8-6 with a very fresh roster, that would only improve. I mean, we had our issues with me being a dumbass and some players having real life issues that forced them out, but there is nothing we can do. Nobody is irreplaceable if you ask me. One thing I know for sure we were good at was drafting. You can laugh all you want, but in theory, we had one of the best drafts in the S21 AND the S22 DSFL drafts. I was fired shortly after the latter, but I knew that we had made the right choices. At least in the things we could have an impact on.
