Though he resides in Germany during the pre- and regular seasons, Clark Boyd always makes sure to head home to New Jersey and stay with his folks in his offseason. And in that time, he likes to give back to the community that he grew up in. He volunteers at local food pantries, such as Rahway Food for Friends or the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. Through his social media following, Clark organizes a food drive, and personally drives around to make pick-ups and drop-offs at the food banks in his area. This not only makes it more personable for the people of Middlesex County, it also makes it easier for them to contribute. On top of this, for every pound of food collected, Clark pledges to donate $100 to local shelters. Just in the county area there are 7: Ozanam Inn, Ozanam Family Shelter, FISH Hospitality, NJ HIV Housing Collaborative, Teen Shelter, Warming Centers, and Supportive Services for Veteran Families. Services and facilities like these just do not get the attention or funding they need to provide all they can for the communities they serve. He believes that community is what builds people up, and so whenever he's in town, Clark makes it a personal mission to gather as much support as possible to help those most in need. And in so doing, maybe inspire more people to do likewise.
