I think success in this league is defined by your own expectations. Why did you join? I came into this league a year and a half ago because it was something that I could do to stay connected with a good friend of mine who lives a state away. Also because I was bored. By those standards I've succeeded greatly! I've gotten to talk a good bit about this league with my friend and we're definitely closer than we used to be, though if I'm honest I think that's had a lot more to do with life than with this league specifically. My current goals for this league are more to do with performance. I've gotten my player on the cusp of 1500 TPE which is crazy and something I didn't anticipate doing. I've also gotten to help write the early history books of a brand new team in Berlin which has been an absolute blast. We all know the sim gives and the sim takes away, so I won't be heartbroken if we never win an Ultimus because I know we've built Ultimus level teams the last three seasons. I hope to have some more memorable moments, like the only blocked field goal in franchise history or my pick 6 in the Conference championship game last year, and some more good conversations with my teammates in the next seasons before I hang up the cleats. If I can do that, I'll definitely say my career was a success.
