The meaning of success in the International Simulation Football League is a fickle notion to think about. I believe it’s successful if your team continues to win games. It would technically feel successful when your team wins the Ultimus or Ultimini. And then awards too. It works in the same function. When your player goes on to win awards, that is the ultimate goal and it defines success. You have put in the work to gain the TPE necessary to improve your player to their highest potential on the field during the games. Collectively teams that have majority of players with high earnings, that team has a tendency to be more successful that some badly drafted teams. Here’s my but though: what do you call teams that maybe get to the playoffs but lose to a team in overtime because your team punted from your opponents 35 yard line? That’s bad sim luck. And that bad sim luck is what stands between your team’s success and “successful team/season/player”. I joined this league several seasons ago and before S28, I see only who won the Ultimus. I don’t see any other teams that may or may not have had successful seasons.
