We just recently got past week 9 on the schedule. My Yellowknife Wraiths are currently 3-6, Making them fifth place in the NSFC. As the rookie QB for the Wraiths Im going to obviously talk about the offensive side of the ball. Offensively Jay Cue Jr. has been doing his thing. He’s rushed for 713 yards through 9 games. He is averaging 4.1 yards per carry, currently a career high for him. He has seen a major drop off in his touchdowns, but I would say that is more reflective on the rookie QB that is on the team and has committed 16 turnovers all by himself. (11 interceptions and 5 Fumbles). Also balling out this season offensively for Yellowknife is Kai Sakura, who continues to put up top receiver numbers for the Wraiths with his 50-Rec and 826-yards receiving. He also has 5 touch downs, which is 2 shy of last seasons mark with 7 games left to play. His yards per game, and yards per reception are both up this season compared to last season. His Long of 82 last season is unmatched by his long this season of 64. Mark Walker is another offensive player having a good season. His statistics this season are off the mark from last season, and again Ill put that blame on the rookie QB but is still having a solid season with 48 receptions and 705 yards and 3 touchdowns. Lastly, how can I not mention Buffalo Hunter. This TE is quickly becoming the premier tight end in the league. Nine games into the season and he has matches his career high in touchdowns already with 2. With 7 games to go he has 28 receptions and 236 yards to go before he reaches career highs in those categories. With some win-able games left on the schedule for Yellowknife, I think we can get Mr. Hunter all career highs this season, and that’s just a season with rookie QB. Parmelee and Hunter played well together in London, and it looks like they are going to carry that on here in the ISFL.
